Hayne out of Origin?

If he does get suspended it will be hilarious to watch the NSW selectors scramble and and try to dig themselves out of their hole, Slater for Boyd = fine, Hayne for Gildley = fifth consecutive series loss
Though I'm sure on Slater will get suspended, but we'll be alright

He is without a doubt the biggest cat I have ever seen. I'm offering a reward to anyone who takes to him with a crobar.

I reckon they'll both be cleared.

Probably, and it makes a joke of things. We don't pick Folau because of his sin of signing a contract in a different sport, but we pick Slater and Hayne despite ugly head butt and elbow in a game...

I honestly don't see how they can clear Hayne. It would only take the lowest charge to see him out for a week, and it was a headbutt, clear as day.

I didn't see Slater's as clearly but, regardless, he'll be gone too just to even things up a little.

One thing I hate about the Storm - and Slater was a great example last night - is that when things aren't going their way, they lose interest in the game and just focus on hurting opposition players.
They did it against the Broncos late in the game a few weeks ago, and Slater did it last night to Hayne. Hayne's on report, most likely out of Origin, but genius Slater decides to come in swinging his elbows at Hayne's head anyway, winning nothing more than a spell in the sin bin and maybe a charge from the match review committee.
Slater and Smith are the worst for it - as seen in the final in 2008 when Smith tried to tear Thaiday's head off, or even in Origin 3 last year, when QLD were out of contention and Smith suggested to use the last few minutes to try and hurt one of the NSWelshmen.
It's unsporting, and really gets up my nose. I hope Hayne AND Slater are charged and miss Origin.

Surely Slater can argue provocation or something? No doubt NSWRL will make sure that it is squared up if Hayne gets done.

Hayne is a cat. If only they had better aim in Kings Cross we wouldn't have to worry about him.

ps Rock, you think Price can't fight, have a look at the u/19's fight and watch Hayne get uber pwnd!!!!

But he got him back about 3 mins later.

And they had already punched each other after the headbutt.

Unless Slater can say he had concussion.

Hayne used his "get out of jail free only because it's a BIG game you'll be suspended for" card when he got let off to play last year's GF. Just goes to show what letting these guys get away with stuff if suspension means missing a big game - makes 'em think they are above the rules and they continue to do crap stuff. Hayne must go this time. And TBH Slater should go too.

And FTR - I really really really really hate that whole arguement about players should get off suspensions if it means missing a big game (GF or rep match). If anything the rep level players should probably be held to a higher standard as they are higher profile and more of the standard bearers for the game - and people are going to be more aware of them breaking the rules.

That is just appalling. How can the NRL allow this to go on?

This here makes it frustrating to be an NRL fan.

Suspend them both, Hayne for the softest headbutt ever and Slater for the worst attempt at elbowing somone ever. Ever.

It's not looking good for Hayne:

Hayne And Lewis Out Of Origin; Slater Cleared

NSW are in deep judiciary trouble with both Jarryd Hayne and Luke Lewis on charges while Billy Slater is free to play for Queensland.

Hayne was today charged with striking for his 62nd minute headbutt on Slater and unless he can beat it at the judiciary, his 150 points will see him out of Wednesday week's return Origin match.

An early guilty plea would net him 112 points and him miss the game.

Slater was not on the charge sheet after he was imvestigated over a possible elbowing incident from the spiteful Eels-Storm match.

Lewis too looks to be out of the NSW team after copping a grade on dangerous throw charge.

A prior similar incident cost Lewis 50 per cent loading and brought his charge tally to 187 points, meaning only 140 for an early guilty plea.

Such a plea would leave him out of Origin as well.

Hayne is gone. It was a clear headbutt. Unless he can prove he has a sudden onset of Tourettes.

"Not bugger bugger bugger guilty your **** **** **** honour crap"

I'd say Hayne will fight the charge and win...just predicting.
