Hayne out of Origin?

Trying to put a positive spin on it... hopefully this causes enough controversy to take the focus off Folau. I had a bad feeling today that a fair amount of idiots at the game might boo Israel because of his defection.

got off because it was "not significant enough to cause injury".

So all those players on dangerous tackles, head highs and the like can get off if they don't cause injury?

Yeah it will be interesting to see if that sets a standard. You could take a massive swing at someone and graze them on the chin, but despite what you attempted to do you can get let off because it was only a love tap?

Agreed...nearly as ridiculous as the defence Thurston used.

Right decision.

How on earth is that the right decision?

Because it was soft. He wasn't trying to split Slater, just niggle him. For Hayne to miss an Origin due to that would have been ridiculous.

The only thing he's really guilty of is stupidity.

That's just shit. Whether it was soft or not, the intent was there. And he's had several "stupidity" incidents in the past he's been suspended for. Just crap.

I thought it was the correct decision.

Yes it was soft, it was like he was pushing the pest away.

Although they are rare, expect any headbutting charges in the future to be eagerly contested by players at the judiciary.

Gutless decision from the judiciary, they should be replaced immediately

It seems to me they didn't charge Slater simply so they could let Hayne off.

Just another example of why we hate NSW. They control the game in every way.
That is just rediculous to let Hayne off, precedent has been set for anyone now to argue that line.

FU#K I HATE NSW.

Since when has the judiciary been given a brief to decide whether there was injury or not??????
Their role was to decide if Hayne was guilty of a headbutt, answer, yes, the lowest grade being grade 1 end of story.

NSW do whatever they like and if it comes down to it they will just openly cheat.

Well it seems that headbutting is now LEGAL in rugby league. but i don't know why people are surprised, QLD players always get harsher penalties at the judiciary when it is origin time

Bit OTT. If they controlled the game in every way I'm sure they wouldn't have just lost 4 in a row.

The decision was still bullshit though. So was Slater not getting charged, and Thurston not getting suspended last week. I think at the end of the day it just shows the judiciary are a bunch of tools.

.
IMO they do, that is the reason there are still too many teams in Sydney. They have lost 4 in a row because at the moment they are crap and we are good.
