His Marbles GOOOORNE??????

It's all because we lack a game plan... when Locky is there he can hatch a plan on the run, when he's not there the other guys don't seem to be able to do that. If the team was drilled over and over with a certain game plan, then even though they would miss one player or another they would still be able to follow the plan and most of the time get it done due to the wealth of other players still out there. But all too often the team just runs around like a team of good players and not a good playing team.

That's so true, and like you, I've been posting for years about a game plan that focuses on our strengths and their weaknesses.

Nevertheless, when it comes to the crunch between the BEST teams, I still believe a key difference is the X-factor, especially leadership and Locky's uncanny ability to sniff out opportunities.

Up to now, imo, it's Locky who makes our team gel. Hopefully, tonight, Ennis, Marsh Hunt and our senior forwards will give us direction and insist we stick the game plan, which, I envisage, is partly about shutting down Marshall.

Oh, we have a gameplan....Locky 1st receiver, passes to backrower, backrower hits defensive line, holds up the pass and offloads to a wrapping Locky. Locky then throws a cutout pass to oncoming fullback who attempts to draw and pass for winger (who, unfortunatly by this time, has no room between him and the sideline)

You may have seen this once or 200 times. [icon_wink

Just the one issue... we don't off load. [icon_lol1.

Are you saying tonight was a well coached effort?

If not then what?

If so...did u watch the game?

Once again the brilliance of one or two players gets us home and WB gets a wrapp for guiding the team to another win.

This is our FULL STRENGHT pack... and they once again were bloody awful against a very weak tigers pack.

We made stupid desicions, let them off load at will and did almost everything to let them beat us by a hundred.

We were lucky not to be thrashed, the tigers gave us the game and because we had a couple of players that could play normal football for 80 minutes, we secured a win.

I was at the game last night & was listening to the call on the radio.

They were saying they thought Henjak is coaching the side now.

At least give Wayne credit for sitting Ashton Sims on the bench for the entire second half!!

Sure, maybe it will give him a much needed kick up the arse, but playing the majority of the game with three players on the bench isn't exactly helpful.

He should've brought him on for at least ten minutes in the second half IMO.

Why would he?? Sims made a few bad mistakes in the first half and why would we bring him on in the dying stages of a tight contest with every chance he will make more stupid mistakes??

Exactly, imagined if he did bring him out and then gave away a crucial penality, you would never hear the end of it.

I'm scared every time Sims takes up the ball or makes a tackle, i know a penatly or a knock on is coming.

I don't mean in the 'dying stages'.

I meant in the earlier part of the second half. The Tigers were absolutely dominating up until Taylor's intercept.

None of our forwards were seen at that stage, that's where having a fresh fella like Sims could've been handy.

I sincerely hoping WB is working hard at training with Sims on his discipline because he has the potential to be an awesome player, and i'd hate to see that wasted.

Can I just ask why in the world did Bennet start SIMS ahead of parker? I mean C'mon.

PArker is twice the player sims in, hes 3 times more dangerous runs up better, has better defence and can goal kick, Parker at top form is easily better than bird of gallen.

I'm still suprised why sims would of started ahead of him, but the good thing is he was chucked on the bench and stayed there. I hope sims gets dropped next week.

Parker is good yes, but Bird and Gallen despite being turds are very very good players, thats why they get picked for NSW and AUST consistently now whereas Parker has one or two games for QLD under his belt. They both have greater impact on football matches than Corey does and by no means am I criticizing him here he is a consistent player they are forwards who really can make a difference.

Add to that IMO that Parker only made the SOO side because of his combination witha mountain of broncos, otherwise he wouldn't even have the reps game he has. Bird and Gallan are dead set pigs, but would eat parker alive.

Parker was useless last night - and that game where he kept running into touch. He seems to be afflicted with the same disease as Sims.

Both are extremely talented forwards. I'd have them both in my team in well in front of the the Brainless Bruise Brothers.

I remember Parker's damaging wide running and offloads. I remember Sim's great start to this season.

What's gone wrong? We need both Parker and Sims at their best to make and stay in the 8.

Parker didn't do much in attack last night, but he was great in defence - he made 40 tackles. You can't expect a player to dominate in attack while doing all that work in defence as well...
