Hoffman's Facebook Comment

Did he? when did he apologise immediately? was that before or after the additional photos that kept coming over the following week or so?

Weren't there only two photos? Didn't he apologise as soon as he arrived in Brisbane. I could've sworn he had some sort of interview at the airport or something like that where he cleared things up?

How the hell does Hoffman have control over what is captioned or hashtagged? Those photos are exactly the same thing - just simply photos with team mates. Nothing more, nothing less. The players in those photos aren't the ones making the hashtags - its Pritchard whose doing it.

So your saying that Hoffman was in a campaign to get himself released to join another club? Right...whatever floats your boat...

If that is the case, why did he decide to stay in Brisbane and reject the Bulldogs?

Anyway I'm done with all this 'Hoffman did this or Hoffman did that'. Lets talk about something else.
Because he was contracted to the Broncos until 2016, and didn't get a release.

But it wasn't for a for a lack of trying either...
Maybe you were on holidays all pre-season last year, but here are some articles from the time, from the antics with the Bulldogs players, his father's comments and his actual requests to leave the Broncos to move to Belmore, confirmed by his agent:

Still believe there was no campaign?

To me, that's not being told to leave, that's being told to be less ****. Barba could have chosen to stay, trained and played the house down in whatever comp he was in, and based on his form made it impossible for Bennett to leave him out of first grade. He chose to leave.

From memory, a similar thing happened to Michael Han**** on the mid-late 90s. He chose to stay, made it back in to first grade and won a couple more premierhsips.
the difference is that bennett said to hancock that if he plays well in the trials he will be in the top 17. bennett told barba hes not in the top 17 regardless of trials, and would only be there through injury. completely different situations.

boyd is not moving from FB. no matter how barba played in reserve grade, he would only ever be in the top 17 on the bench at the best. never starting fullback, never 5/8th cause of milford. that is the reality of it, and that is why he left.

AP obviously has a WB hatred agenda. The guy who controls josh Hoffmans passing vision could see that.

That said, anyone who thinks Barba wasn't effectively asked to leave to make way for Boyd is kidding themselves.

And ftr, unlike AP I'm quite happy to be rid of Barba.

Hoffman was whining about playing wing and wanting to play FB long before WB returned
Yet he stayed and played where the coach told him to.......

its not hard to see that bennett told him to leave, since he was playing where griffin told him to even though he wanted to be fullback.

Hoffman can't control what is hashtagged etc. but he is a grown man and of at least average intellect. Therefore if he was not happy with what Pritchard was doing he would stop posing in the photographs.
You're assuming firstly that they were taking the photos, tagging, and posting them as soon as they took them. secondly youre assuming that hoffman was aware that this was happening as they were posting them.

thirdly, youre assuming that he should give a shit that his friends are posting photos of them with him and putting stupid hashtags on the pics. he doesnt have to censor his friends.

I still feel it was more media speculation and Hoffman's manager being a total knob. Hoffman was hardly quoted saying anything, and It was just his manager trying to earn some more money hahaa.

Oh come on, now you're either taking the piss, or being incredibly naive.

Haha righto mate, righto.

Didn't the club have to hold emergency talks with Hoffman to keep him at the club last pre-season?

After those talks, Hoffman got what he wanted and decided to stay.

Hahaha a bit of both. You can't deny his manager is a total tool though, coming out constantly and saying Hoffman deserves the fullback position like he has a mortgage on it. Hoffman never said he should be fullback, it was his manager talking smack hahah.

Yep, and then all the members got a pre-recorded phone call from Hoffdog to say he was fully commited to the 2014 season... fully committed to eating a massive dick

It's amazing how a thread about Josh Hoffmans comments on facebook has managed to turn into another discussion about Boyd and Wayne Bennett.

Don't get your panties in a twist mate. I've moved the post to the relevant thread.

Careful, the Bennecolytes brigade is out there...

Whatever his manager says is as good as Hoffman saying it himself, that's his job, to represent Hoffman the way he wants him to. If Hoffman doesn't agree with his manager he should get a new one.
