Hoffman's Facebook Comment

The photos were taken at the time where all the rumours about wanting a release to the Bulldogs were floating around, contained ONLY the kiwi players that played for the Bulldogs and featured the hashtags #releasehim and #proudtobeabulldog

Cmon mate, I mean seriously

I understand what your saying, but the picture wasn't even from Hoffman's account. It was Frank Pritchard's. it was Pritchard who wrote all those hashtags, not Hoffman. He never even said he wanted to be a Bulldog. All the rumours were from the media. Hoffman repeatedly said he wanted to remain a Bronco. He even apologised for the photo, even though it wasn't even his. I think he did the right thing by apologising for it too.

And he whinged and bitched the whole time when he was on the wing or not going to play fullback. You saying hating on anyone is ridiculous by the way. He wasn't shafted, he was told he can look elsewhere if he wasn't happy. Why do obvious things like that need to be repeated so often? Both him and Barba weren't told to leave.

See that's another thing I can understand. When did he whinge and bitch? I can't actually recall him coming out and saying anything remotely similar to whingeing or bitching. If anything he came out and said that he was disappointed at not playing fullback, but he said he just has to put his head down and work hard, contributing to the team, and In the process, hopefully win back the fullback position. He appreciated the fact he was needed on the wing (or centre and five-eighth) and played their under the coaches orders.

All this complaining of him being a sook and always whining has been based on media speculation of Hoffman wanting a release. He never said himself he wanted to leave the Broncos.

Even at the Titan's he said he hopes to play fullback, but he said he'll play anywhere the coach tells him to.

Ok so even if we assume Hoffman had nothing to do with the photo why keep posing for them. Surely after the first one of that's not his intention he stops posing for them.

its great that you are trying to see the best in everyone but do you also believe the OJ didn't do it?

lol "barba wasn't told to leave". i guess technically youre right - "you can stay if you want, but you wont be in the top 17 playing NRL. even if through injury you did get in, you'd play off the bench and come on as a hooker for 10 minutes a game. but most of the time youll play reserve grade" isn't quite "please leave" lol.

he was told, in no uncertain terms, that if he stays he is not in the first choice 17 to play NRL, and that he most likely wont be in there at all. that is being told to leave.

why pose for pictures with his mates? lol. do you think that someone had a sign up with hashtags while they pictures were being taken so he knew exactly what they were going to tag?

I can see how people are confused since the browser says Twitter but everything else about that format suggests Facebook.

I've made it clear from the start that I was merely responding to the perceived implication as it is something I have seen posted on multiple websites, not by Hoffman but by others and I don't like how people are trying to split hairs over it. 'It isn't about the injury, it's about the situation' - it's the exact same thing! It's an unfortunate situation and nobody with any self-respect should be getting any kicks out of it.

It maybe an idea for @Nashy to post his source up because if it turns out these comments were fabricated this entire thread should be nuked.

That depends, are you going to write my comment as just another attack of Hoffman?

If so then yes because you really don't know what you're talking about in this instance.

Looks like a screenshot from Facebook that's been put on Twitter.

My source is the internet.

Have a look at these photos, surely with your logic all those players must be going to the bulldogs since most of them are in every single photo with Frank Pritchard. Especially Joey Leilua cause he's in all of them... That's just how ridiculous you and everybody else who saw something wrong with the Hoffman photos with his team mates, sound.

To me, that's not being told to leave, that's being told to be less shit. Barba could have chosen to stay, trained and played the house down in whatever comp he was in, and based on his form made it impossible for Bennett to leave him out of first grade. He chose to leave.

From memory, a similar thing happened to Michael Hancock on the mid-late 90s. He chose to stay, made it back in to first grade and won a couple more premierhsips.

That is completely besides the point.

The photos Hoffman was in featured only bulldog players and had very specific hashtags.

All these photos you have posted have nothing to do with the point and the people in them are not part of a campaign to get themselves released to join another club.

He knew what he was doing and the only people that don't are either incredibly naive or don't want to believe it for one reason or another

How the hell does Hoffman have control over what is captioned or hashtagged? Those photos are exactly the same thing - just simply photos with team mates. Nothing more, nothing less. The players in those photos aren't the ones making the hashtags - its Pritchard whose doing it.

So your saying that Hoffman was in a campaign to get himself released to join another club? Right...whatever floats your boat...

If that is the case, why did he decide to stay in Brisbane and reject the Bulldogs?

Anyway I'm done with all this 'Hoffman did this or Hoffman did that'. Lets talk about something else.

The hoffman hate is ridiculous. Guy loved the club and was shafted by wayne so he could get his love child in the team. Hoffman didnt leave to play fullback - he played a season on the wing, then five eighth, and then was told to find another club by bennett.

and now, rightly so, hes having a laugh at being told hes not needed and then 5 minutes later he wouldve been very needed.

im having a laugh too, for the same reasons, but then also for reasons that the obvious faithful on here are having a cry about ;).

I am constantly amazed at how your opinion is coloured by your Bennett hatred

Hoffman was whining about playing wing and wanting to play FB long before WB returned

WB may, and I stress may, have shafted some folks but for the love of God, Hoff is not one of them

Next thing you know you'll be blaming WB for global warming

Hoffman stayed in Brisbane because he wasn't granted a release. Clubs have to agree to a release and clearly Brisbane didn't.

Hoffman can't control what is hashtagged etc. but he is a grown man and of at least average intellect. Therefore if he was not happy with what Pritchard was doing he would stop posing in the photographs. I have already said this but you seem to be ignoring that, in any case you will believe whatever you want to believe so I don't see the point in continuing this. Not everyone is prepared to be so naive so you probably won't enjoy this thread

But that's what I'm saying, he wasn't in control of what was hashtagged, but he still apologised immediately for any harm done to the Broncos and us fans.

Did he? when did he apologise immediately? was that before or after the additional photos that kept coming over the following week or so?

About the release thing, Hoffman had rejected the Bulldogs attempt to sign him earlier anyway. It wasn't just because the Broncos didn't agree to a release, it was because he said he was committed to the Broncos for the time being.
