Hoffman's Facebook Comment

Re: Boyd snaps Achilles - Replacement?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tweet. It's not even targeted at Boyd, but more so to the situation and the troubles that took place at the Broncos just to get Boyd. People just seem to nit-pick and find the smallest of reasons to target Hoffman. If he says something he gets criticised, if he doesn't say anything he still gets criticised.

The tweet just shows how ironic the predicament the Broncos are in at the moment given the fact the club shed a few players, who happened to be fullbacks, just to accommodate one, and now the club doesn't have any experienced fullbacks to cover for him. The tweet was sort of like the saying "the grass isn't always greener on the other side", just in reverse.

Re: Boyd snaps Achilles - Replacement?

And if that's the case it's the actions of a weak man.

There's no real fuss over it, it's just a natural response to a classless comment like that.

All for free speech but you've always got to consider the response and be willing to accept it.

Re: Boyd snaps Achilles - Replacement?

IMO, the only thing wrong with the tweet is that he actually thinks we are now regretting he isn't our fullback with Boyd injured.

See what I mean. Another Hoffman attack. You've just called him classless. A lot of the people on BHQ said the exact same thing, how ironic the situation is and how the tables have turned, yet that's not considered classless.

Plus where's the proof that tweet is even from Josh Hoffman's twitter? Isn't his twitter @jhoffdog? The profile picture is different???

Rejoicing in the misfortune of others is a low act and there really isn't any excuse for it. Course people can try to understand it but that doesn't make it OK. The best thing Hoffman can do is let his on-field performances do the talking. Words are cheap and right now all he's done is lost ground with a lot of supporters.

Don't try and group me as some sort of hater because anybody on here can tell you that isn't the case at all. You're new around here, there's no need to expose yourself like that.

Re: Boyd snaps Achilles - Replacement?

Some people are as bad as the media about these things. Making a huge fuss about rubbish things like fucking tweets.

Too much "censorship" nowdays - can't say this, can't say that, might offend someone.
It's not really a huge fuss, he said something and people reacted. No one is saying he shouldn't be allowed to talk.

Yes but he is talking BS. No doubt he is alluding that he would be there to play FB if he wasn't told to look elsewhere rather than taking any pleasure from Boyd being injured but given WBs reliance on that second man play there's no way Hoff would be in the 1.

He truly is deluded if he can't be honest about his shortcomings as a fullback.

We will get the last laugh when we make the finals while the Titans are stuck at the bottom.

I tend to agree that he's referring to the irony of the situation the Broncos find themselves in, rather than celebrating a serious injury from an NRL colleague.

Supreme irony is that he doesn't realise how inadequate he is, both in this situation, and as a fullback in general.

Is it Facebook ? I thought it was a tweet..... Big Pete...it is, if I'm reading correctly, one word repeated three times. So, it's really one word...'well' From which people are deducing it is not only about Boyd but also its denigrating him and gloating ! Gee, that's not reading between the lines, there are none ! That's reading between the letters !

You know what a shittest thing is, JT will probably never win another premiership while Hoffman will probably luck out and play for a team that wins a premiership with him being a total passenger

I would take a 40 year old Anthony Minichello over Hoffman.

I don't give a **** about Hoffman. I used to be a massive Hoffman apologist but his antics and bullshit grew tiresome long ago.

Whether or not his comment is directly about the injury or about the situation is neither here nor there. It is directing it at the event so it's the same thing. Even if he is only directing it at the situation it is a situation that has come about via a serious injury so it is just splitting hairs.

For those that believe the comment isn't even about this event that is just fanciful nonsense. The comment has several comments following it referring to the situation so if he truly didn't mean it to be about that he would have cleared it up.

It is a classless comment made by a weak and selfish man. I'm glad josh Hoffman is no longer our problem.

Is that in reference to me?

Big difference between- You said you don't need me and you do now and I'm glad someone is injured.

Either way...he's having a chuckle at the club's expense.

Which indicates to me he's still carrying on like a spoiled brat......

A decent man would have said nothing at all and just go on with preparing for his new club.

I thought he was a shunt when he came out a couple years ago and admitted that he hadn't felt like putting in for the team at training or in the games. His selfish carry on about demanding the fullback spot just enhanced my disdain for him.

I'm glad he's gone.

I hope he still has his sense of irony when he finds himself playing wing or centre for the Titans because he can't get past Mead or even Gordon.
