How should the club spend 800k?

Always thought we should be sending our players over to the mayo clinic for stem cell treatment in the off season

No need to spend 800k. Just offer haas 30 seconds in one of these things for his next contract.

I'd probably go against what i would usually say with younger guys and go all in on Will Pryce still tbh. Apparently wants to play in the NRL and is gettable, could easily star at fullback or 6 in the future, but i think we probably need to try to develop what we have here .

hasn't he already signed with the Knights?

Got to be a spine player for me but havent got a clue who
I'm not convinced it does have to be a spine player. TMM looks promising, Ezra has had some nice touches. The paix/Walters combo is getting a job done at the moment with Mozer waiting in the wings.

The good thing is we have half a season to see what these guys can do. If it's good enough, then 800k can certainly go a long way to shoring up the mid tier roster with upgrades.

I think at least for next year we are pretty set everywhere else. You look at what Arey has done for us and i think another quality spine player will take us up another level. Lomax for example would be an excellent signing on a 2 year deal to play 6. He's streets ahead of any 6 we have here right now, and it would let Mozer develop more steadily. TMM has done well, but if we have the chance to improve on him and we can do it we should take it.

The question is what team wants Haas and than it’s finding a favourable player swap, while leave some change to be spent upgrading/extending our current team.

I’d look for Queenslanders where possible but obviously winning is more important.

We all assume it’ll be the roosters and while Walker, Manu, or keary would be good I don’t think that’s realistic.

I would probably ask for a guy like Lindsay Collins - QLDer, origin player, prime age bracket, should be on a fair priced contract

As part of the deal the roosters would have to pay all of Payne’s contract and subsidise per of Collins ($100k?).

I have bagged the shit out of the spine for a long time (for good reason lol) but it's looking good all of a sudden. A player swap could happen but what club is going to get rid of a good 1,6,9 for a prop? I'd be happy using the money to keep this group together.
