That couldn't be more incorrect in my eyes, he's been copping the same criticisms this year as he's been copping for the last 4 years, it may be exacerbated because of him leaving, but it's certainly not some fabricated agenda, he's not a good "Halfback", plenty of us have known it for quite some time.

He's an above average NRL Five-Eighth that's pretending to be an average Halfback.

I think we may end up with a Milf (please be a sub-luxation only) - Benji combo, if Benji keeps showing the signs he has of late, as he's the only half with a proper kicking game we have. Kodi can still be a supersub.

For now, Benji - Kodi it is I think.

To be honest I don't believe there's anybody in our team who can't kick long. Truthfully, kicking a ball 40-50 metres is not beyond any first grade footballer, certainly not the high skill level players at the Broncos. If given the ball with sufficient time and space I'd back Blair or Sims or Thaiday, anyone to get a kick down the field. It doesn't have to be perfect, just get the distance. I don't believe it's a major concern going forward.

That said, having a brilliant long kicker with pinpoint accuracy is a luxury most teams do not have with a hit and miss result being the norm.

Loved waking up knowing we got the two points and staying in contention for a vital top four spot.

we have to have the worst kick chase game in the comp. The attitude and intensity just isn't there. We rarely chase hard.

@Mr Fourex While I disagree that we have the worst kick chase, you are right at least in saying we don't put a lot of pressure on the catcher.

I believe this may be tactical though, as to give them a few extra metres while we approach with a set line instead of risking opening up broken play.

Hmm, there's other types of kicks too, like the Hunt cross field kick for Pearson/Roberts to score v the Warriors.

One wonders why plays like that happen so very rarely. Unleashing Roberts with deft planned kicks like that one ought to be regular set plays, no matter who calls the play and does the kick.
