It can't be that bad. At least we'll have a halfback that can kick field goals.
Honestly, if Bennett can get Wallace back to playing the way he was when he first joined the Broncos, he would be a good fit IMO. He would be a great player to have next to Milford.
Experienced, calm under pressure which is something Hunt struggled with at times and he can kick.
His short kicking game would benefit us.
IMO having him there would take pressure off Milford and just allow him to do what he does best, which is run the ball.
It's not the worst option until we can find someone better.

Jayden wasn't known for his organisational skills, he was just ridiculously talented in the same way Lolohea was for the Warriors.
In theory Milford/Taylor would be the ideal combination, in practice I could see Nikorima/Milford being more effective.

I'm all for suggesting replacements for Hunt, but Wallace should not be on that list. He has a relatively good kicking game and can manage a game quite well, but he's 31 and has more or less no running game to speak of, which wouldn't compliment Milford in that sense.
We need someone who's under the age of ~26, has an above average running game and an above average kicking game, and we're golden.
There's quite a few players who I think fit into that category - Taylor, Cleary, Brooks, Johnson, Foran, Elgey.
You can say whatever you want about their game impact, or their intangibles (Defence, Consistency, Involvement, Attitude etc), but all of those guys are good runners & kickers of the ball, and are young enough to partner Milford for the next 5-7 years. It'll be left up to Wayne and the coaching staff to strengthen the weaknesses of whoever we get, and I'm supremely confident that we're one of the best clubs at getting the absolute best out of players. (Another reason why I think the Dragons fucked up big time, we got the best of Hunt in 2015, they're likely getting 1-2 years of 2016 Hunt and then 3-4 years of a version of Hunt that can't kick and has lost a touch of pace - At that point he's a liability.)

I personally think we have yet to see the best from Hunt. I can see him really coming into his own as the star player of a team that is under less pressure. I think after a season or two and the dragons he will be very handy player. Time will tell though and I wish him all the best.

I want to keep him but he does alot of bad decisions in his game. Kicking on 3rd tackle ect...

He won't be under less pressure at the Dragons, they just signed him for 6 million dollars, they're going to be expecting the world from him, and Dragons fans can be pretty brutal. I hope he has thick skin, he's gonna need it.

Re: Jayden, I'm hoping to know more on Monday. That said, my sauce gave me the best poker face when he left. If he's coming home though, I don't think he'll be able to hide his excitement.

The Dragons need a fucking forward pack. Not a ball running, head game wrecked, no kicking game halfback.
Will miss Hunt, he brought much joy, especially during 2012-2014 dark days, and the 2015 surge. A club favourite, those 3-4 seasons sitting on the bench in the 14 ultimately cruelled his development IMO. Hindsight being 20/20.
