Intrust Super Cup 2018

Love watching Michael Purcell from the jets. We could do worse than sign him up. Reminds me a lot of Addo Carr

How good was his tackle on Pearson on Saturday?

Drinkwater, not beer.
How come we don't have any halves that dominate in the QLD Cup?

Queensland's State of Origin team is currently undergoing a 'changing of the guard' period with long-term greats like Johnathan Thurston, Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater hanging up the boots.
This year saw the highly-anticipated debut of Kalyn Ponga in Maroon, along with other talented Queensland youngsters Jai Arrow and Felise Kaufusi.
The state has a plethora of young talent progressing through the ranks that could potentially one day step up.
Below is a list of Queensland youngsters to keep an eye on over the next few years, as they look to make a name for themselves in the NRL:

ISC cap from next year of $500k.

Player salary capped at 35k.

Norths on TV today. Few of our boys playing. A chance for a few on here who are always calling for Shibasaki and Dargan to see how they go.

I don't think Dargan is a chance anymore. He clearly just doesn't seem good enough. O'Sullivan seems more highly regarded if we sign him.

Problem I have with QCup being used to assess player ability is that often good players get brought down to the others' level.

You really need to see players play with other NRL players to see their true ability.

All the blokes i know actually say its easier to play NRL than it is ISC but there is no way you can discount it. The little things you need to see in a players game should all be there in ISC and you need to see these younger guys taking on board what they are asked to do and put into practice. ISC is a strong competition, If you cant perform there it would be extremely rare for a player to be able to make the step up.
