Intrust Super Cup 2018

Who is Drinkwater affiliated to?

He was a half with Cleary in the Australian school boys and you can see it in his play. Storm had him at 6 last year at Falcons and he was alright but at one this year for the Tigers has been sensational- form fullback in the comp.

Leads tackle breaks 128
Leads Try assists from passing 16
Leads Kick return meters 740
3rd line break assists 15
14 tries

Not much more you could want from your fullback.

He will be the ISC fullback of the year.

Purcell two year deal at Jets.

Should be an NRL deal.

I must be a horrible judge of talent, I thought Parcell looked so good in his appearances for us back in the day, I expected him to be similar to what Cook is right now.

Didn't someone (1910?) mention that Parcell actually always wanted to move to England or something like that a couple of years back?

He will be off contract after next year

Purcell now leading try scorer with 18 from 16 games this year.

54 from 54 ISC games. Three before half time today.

Why should it be an nrl deal? He might have scored plenty in cup but there is a million miles difference between cup and nrl.
Some blokes are good cup players that simply dont make the next level

If they can dominate at QLD Cup level, surely they can at the very least get a depth contract and see if they impress enough?

I just found some stats which may be a contributing factor.
This year he has made 57 tackles and missed 38. Thats a frightening stat that isnt going to cut it.
Yep he can score tries, but he obviously doesnt like to tackle which is a fairly important thing for an nrl player.

Difference is irrelevant. It’s the level below and he’s shown enough I would have thought for a minimum deal and let’s find out.

Broncos have at least five ISC players in their 30 that Purcell has shown more than in his 54 games.

He is an exceptional talent. With fulltime training at an NRL club i think he would improve immensely. I think he would more than be good enough to play wing in the NRL.

I've also seen him come up with some huge defensive plays so its not exactly right that he doesn't like to tackle. He came up with a massive tackle on Jonas Pearson when they played Reddy the other week. Tbf, the way the Jets play can leave them pretty exposed. Stats dont always tell the true picture.

So you’ve never even watched him. Right.

That’s misleading for a fullback. They often have low tackle counts and high missed tackles. They’re always one on one and often a missed tackle is goal line as someone scores.

Watch his tackle on Pearson- an NRL contracted player.

Maybe ask nolan at training on Monday why this bloke cant get a gig then and see what he says?

Typical comment from you. Apprently no one watches any footy except you. And wrong, i have watched plenty of his games.
Why is it misleading? Saving tries is just as inportant as scoring them.
So one big tackle on pearson should count for what?
16 nrl clubs cant be all wrong!!!!
