Jharal Yow Yeh injury update thread

Please he's not staying in the backrow. Plan is he will slowly move back out as he plays fogs for the rest of the year.

Totally agree - he's not built to be a backrower, I don't care how much he bulks up...he barely weighs enough for a winger!! :001_tt2:

I reckon if anything yow yeh should go centre then reed can push out to the wing because we don't want yow yeh at second row

He just has to take it one week at a time. Realistically I don't think he will be back this year in first grade and I hope he is ok with that. It should give him enough time for a full recovery (as full as you can get with that kind of injury).

I think I heard on TripleM this morning that Yow Yeh definitely won't be back in the NRL this year........

Correct.

JHARAL Yow Yeh's NRL dream return is at least another nine months away from being realised.

The lion-hearted Broncos and Kangaroos winger, who broke his leg in graphic fashion early last season, made a brave comeback in third grade two weeks ago.

But the Bishop Park contest - his first hit-up in 13 months - took such a physical toll that Yow Yeh will be sidelined again until late this month.

I just fucking realized how quick jharal was, I was watching his highlights and in one of the origin games he caught upto jarryd Hayne, and in different matches out ran Morris and Steve michaels, we need him back soon

How long is JYY on contract for with us?

I sadly don't think he'll ever be that fast again. But I think he can be effective when he does return next year. Hope he takes it slow and gets it right.
And if he does make it back I highly doubt he will even play on the wing, not only the loss of speed, he will want to avoid the additional pressure of contesting the high ball. Quite frankly if he just plays out the rest of the season playing the odd game in the FOG comp then great, combine that with an off season and lets see where his at then.

im sort of glad it is recognised that he wont be back this year. would be unnecessary pressure and a risk to rush him back. how good would it be if he's fully right to go for RND 1 2014 at suncorp

I hope he at least gets to playing QLD Cup (not FOGS) in the backs by the end of the season.
