Jharal Yow Yeh injury update thread

On another note, Baptiste has shown more attacking prowess in the 20 minutes he was on the field in the first half than McCullough has all season.

Baptiste definately impressing, and damn I missed seeing Yow Yeh's fends and sidesteps. And as I type that he fends off one and drags another 10m.

That was a good run. Great step of his left foot (though it's his good one I think). He might end up being a left side player so he can use that step.

Hodges and Yow Yeh centre pairing would be nice, too many backrowers so I'd say Reed would be dropped until Hodges retires or fills in when either are injured/suspended (so probably play 10 games a year anyway).

Seems he hasn't lost his defense either.

Yeah good signs from him. Strong runs, great defence.

Baptiste... Jeez he is unlucky not to be lining up for the broncs more often. Big fan of his

Or maybe we'll see Reed come of the bench to play in the backrow

I guess it all depends on when/if Lama Tasi can make the starting 17..If he does we'll have a full back row with one on the bench..if he doesn't and we keep Thaiday at prop, then we may have room.

I hear JYY is determined to get an NRL game under his belt this season.
Do you reckon they can fill the ground when he makes his comeback? I will be there

hopefully not at all this season.

Theres no advantage to or reason to bring him back this year. the seasons gone, we're done. if he doesnt play he gets another 6 months to further strengthen and heal that leg, and get more confidence in it. absolutely no reason to play him this year.

it might be good for him mentally to get out there this year in some capacity so he doesnt have the whole off season to think about it. as he's said its a mental thing now.

Yeah, I agree. But if he was to make a single NRL appearance I'd hope it's the day game. Plus it's a game we might actually win.

Agree word for word with AP, infact I think I said literally the same thing on another forum. No point, season over, give him another 6 months of strength and confidence and tell him if he comes through the trials next year he'll be there in round 1, 2014.

That way he keeps his headspace, knows the finish line is in sight and can concentrate on just improving bit by bit each week - I'd hate for him to overdo it cause he thinks he needs to impress in order to get a game this year, and end up injuring himself again.

He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone at this point.
