NEWS Judiciary: Live blog - Carrigan Four Week Suspension

Nothing

He walked away with a fine for something that would have seen him suspended had he still been a Bronco or Warrior
Thank **** we offloaded him. What a liability

for those not in the know, is this sarcastic or is he actually a good prosecutor
I would not know what he is like on his feet, but with that resume he is very very bright and if he has been at the bar for as long as he has and survived in Sydney, he is good if not better.

6.40pm: Carrigan's legal counsel Nick Ghabar tells the panel that the Broncos forward was guilty of a "low or moderate level of carelessness" due to the involvement of the other two other Brisbane players involved in the tackle.

"Player Carrigan lost his footing and almost has a seated position on the ground, while the two defenders up top have a firm hold," Ghabar says.

Carrigan has hold of Hastings' waist and the other tacklers turned and pushed the Tigers lock over the top of Carrigan with a "significant driving force".

There's no way in amillion years a broncos player would ever have NAS/Cleary/insert storm players name here "luck" but umagine he did get off and Walters couldn't pick him bcos he's not in the 22 hahahaha

It’s a pretty weak defence. Patty was third man in and pulled them all down. He didn’t even need to get involved. There was no duty of care.

We should've also gone back through the archives and identified other fractures of the fibula, because there would be multiple times where a foot is just caught under a tackle and it's broken.

You don't do it to try and show similar tackles, you do it to show how it's an unfortunate injury that can occur on legal tackles... the injury occurring in the tackle can be random and Hastings can be unlucky, but Pat's actions alone did not cause the injury to occur.

6.28pm: Knowles tells the panel he is not seeking an "eye for an eye" and believes an appropriate suspension for Carrigan would be five or six matches.
