NEWS Judiciary: Live blog - Carrigan Four Week Suspension

Will be six weeks given they’re referring Mcguire

but because they’re nice they’ll downgrade to five because pats a cleanskin

Kent just said that on NRL360 that if Carrigan only gets 2 or 3 weeks, if will be like the NRL telling players to take baseball bats with them next time
Yet he also wants to tell players spear tackles are fine.

Fucking clown.

6.28pm: Knowles tells the panel he is not seeking an "eye for an eye" and believes an appropriate suspension for Carrigan would be five or six matches.

6.21pm: NRL legal counsel Patrick Knowles refers to a medical report about the season ending injury sustained by Hastings.

Hastings has been forced to undergo surgery with plates and screws to repair a fractured fibula and surgery for syndesmosis. "That likely means a minimum of three months recovery and more likely four to five months," Knowles says. "This is a very serious injury that could impact on player Hastings' career".

Nah that's what NAS is planning to do next time he enters the field... he just got away with elbow dropping his opponent and almost breaking his jaw

Kent is going off about Pattens response to not charging NAS though

So any illegal tackle causing an ACL could ruin a players career, is a 12 month injury, should have a 6 month suspension minimum.

Since when have they ever referred to the injury as reason for a suspension? If that’s the case McLean and Smith should’ve been banned for life?!?

Have they showed the McGuire tackle that we're proposing to use as part of the defence??

It takes all of about 5secs to find it online so they should have it loaded up to show what is being put forward as part of the defence... but they're probably scared shitless to do it because it's a fucking shocker

I'm expecting it all to end in tears. paddy will get over it and make the most of the break. It's @Wolfie I'm concerned for.

On a side note Carrigans Hips are doing damage this season, first Cobbo then Hastings.
