Kennedy, Release at season end? Yes or No?

Hannant out, Kennedy to stay apparently.

Griffin and Kennedy can take a long walk on the beach together and make some babies. This reminds me of other sports where the manager is so blindly in love with one player that he can't see the big picture at all. Hannant is a great player, Kennedy is anything but. The broncos should have never bought him full stop. He should be let go as soon as possible.

To be fair, Kennedy was 18th man for Qld and looked very promising at the Roosters. I love how people come in with hindsight gloating about how they were right and whatever. We are all often right about stuff and very wrong about other stuff.

Hannant has actually played for the Maroons and the Kangaroos. All I know is he seems to put in when he's out there where as Kennedy has been extremely disappointing thus far.

At this point, I'm leaning towards retaining Hannant and offloading Kennedy. As if that is what Griffin will do.

He's 25 and it's 8 rounds in.

Yeah, no point writing him off when there's still 3/4s of a season to go.

This argument has popped up a few times on this thread. I don't really understand it.

Kennedy is a front rower playing in his position. He just needs to run hard and tackle hard. It's not like he's Hoffman, who is playing out of position and struggling to develop his play making skills, combinations decision making etc. That sort of stuff does take time to develop.

Why does Kennedy need more than a 1/4 of the year to understand he needs to run hard and tackle hard?

Being one of those who's voiced said argument, here's my rationale:

It's hard to conceive him doing a worse job than he is currently. Therefore, the only way is up!

I had no real opinion of him prior to coming. Had seen little of him in action, but assumed based on size, age and reputation that he would be a handy addition. Not Sanderson 2.0.

You can't keep blaming Kennedy blame the **** wit coach that only plays him 19min a game. I bet if we had a descent coach his numbers would be much better. I'm still amazed how he picked Hala over Hannant Hala is unfit and hopeless should not even be playing q cup.

I think we need a new coach first and foremost. I feel our players aren't being drilled or coached to reach their max potential.

I think it was more a case of picking someone other than Hannant. We know it's not purely a form thing. But did Hala actually do anything wrong or unworthy of a 1st grade spot? No. The dropped ball attacking the line is just a stupid play that Gillett also dropped as well. I hate it and it needs to be forgotten.

NB: I'm a big Hala defender/advocate

A question was asked in confidence after the game friday night about kennedy and why he didnt come back on after 20 minutes. One of the most senior club men said " he didnt come back cause he is a soft c!#t...." its obvious the players dont think much of him. It also sgems from him earnin more than most of the boys as well.

Forgive me while I play the cynic, but isn't it at the Coaches discretion whether or not a player comes back onto the field and not the individual players choice?

I think Kennedy still has potential but he does need to harden up. I'd be getting rid of Griffin before I get rid of any of our players.

I don't think would care so much if he was doing just something to show he deserved it.

If the players think it then im sure the coaching staff would too... well maybe not with Griffin, kearney and Richards.

If it was asked in confidence then how do we now know about it?

He played a fairly solid 20 minutes, if the coach thinks he's a softie then he should just drop him. Actions speak louder than words, lets see the team named on Tuesday.

I dread the team announcements on Tuesday cos that chore feeling starts all over again.
