Kennedy, Release at season end? Yes or No?

If the players think it then im sure the coaching staff would too... well maybe not with Griffin, kearney and Richards.

It's a bit like me saying I heard Miranda Kerr wants to **** me. It's virtually impossible to believe from at least my point of view.

Hala is a waste of an interchange has 2 runs misses tackles then he's out of steam or gets hurt. I still put this down to our super coach who has no idea what so ever. Hook should watch the other NRL games and see how real coaches use their interchange properly. I think Kennedy needs to harden up but give him some more game time

You guys that say Hala only makes one good run a game, did you even watch Friday night? Hala was quite impressive while he was on until he got kneed in the face.

Kennedy doesn't come close to justifying his salary, but like Beads I think he has the potential to become a good player for us. Does that mean I want to pay him 500k? Not overly, but frankly, what's the alternative? You don't get premiership points for coming under the cap and we've obviously got some room. If some shiny player comes along and we need to release him then fine, but otherwise might as well stick with him a little longer.

hala missed the tackles against taumololo hardly his fault. he also made four runs. the reason his stats are normally so low is just due to his low minutes. 2 runs from hala is better than 0 from wallace bench warming.

hala got injured its not exactly his fault he only played 12 mins. in that 12 mins had 4 runs.

kennedy played 19 mins with 3 runs.

how does your starting prop in the opening qtr of the game make THREE runs.

Cowboys had 10 sets of six to the Broncos 3.

That generally does it.

I thought Hala was pretty ordinary when he was on. Made one nice run to begin with but everything else from there was ordinary. Had the ball stripped when he should have been using his frame to barge over for a try, CRABBED (WTF?!) off Gillett and basically wasted a tackle and I honestly can't remember his other effort.

Defence was ordinary too.

21 tackles in 19 mins
3 runs for 30m

.....with the possession that Pete described. Griffin obviously saw something he didn't like but Kennedys stats were by no means bad.

I dunno about those inflated stats, Kennedy's runs weren't exactly impressive. I believe one was off a kick-off, another was off a drop out, and the 3rd one had him dropping the ball?

Drop Out
Inside Pass off of Hunt
Forward Pass off of Hunt turning into a knock on/strip.

First two were fine, third was crap.

To make matters worse, he missed a tackle on Rona later which basically lead to a rare penalty in the match and later first points to the Cowboys.

Three is the number of sets the Broncos had in the first 20 minutes too btw...

"The pillow" is the 5th ranked forward in our team when it comes to meters p/run, surprisingly ahead of Parker, McGuire, Hannant and Gillett, and just behind Thaiday and Glenn.
Maybe we expect to see opponents flying every time he takes a hit-up, or his run style doesn't look aggressive, but his stats do not rhyme with his reputation. And yes, I know stats don't tell everything, but they are the best KPI for a prop.

I wouldn't say he was impressive and I'm not advocating him for prop of the year, but his performance, IMO did not warrant him being hooked for the remainder of the game. Especially when we're already one player down.

Has it actually come out as to why he didn't come back on yet? It doesn't make any sense.

At the press conference after the game, Griffin was asked about Kennedy and basically said he was disappointed in him. Didn't mention anything about being injured. Hodges looked filthy and clearly doesn't see things the same as Griffin does. It was really awkward.

I wonder why Brisbane bother having an interchange bench sometimes.

In his first run from the drop out, he steamed onto it, run hard but just as he got to the defensive line started to pull up and slow down. Didn't really hit the line that hard. I remember Tim Gilbert rabbling on about something to do with him having a big game.

I think many of the so called "knowledgeable " of you all are indeed missing the point with this frustrating situation we all find ourselves in. We have a coach who doesn't know what he's doing, but cleverly has surrounded himself with people of lesser ability. If the NRL were to next week tell the Broncos they were only allowed to play a team of 14, but the Titans can field a team of 17, there would be outraged!Griffin has been secretly doing this every week. We are competing with less players by his deplorable use of bench. I'm pretty sure we had interchange to spare last game, yet we had players dead on their feet. Yes we had a chance to win, but the coach didn't give us a chance. The Hannant situation is a deflecting tool to take the focus off his poor coaching ability. To play a starting prop for 19 mins, who whilst defending for 75% of the 19 mins he had on the field, and at the same time have the highest workload stats for that time for both teams does not make sense and then.... Not put him back on again AT ALL! It does not make any sense. Yes he may have had only 3 runs, but the so called know it all's fail to tell the true stats. The team had 25% posession in that 19 mins, and in fact only had three sets in that time. So unless he was going to have three hit ups per set, how else could the stat be any different.. To compare one prop who gets 19 mins against another who gets 68 mins is like comparing a three legged dog with a four legged dog at the greyhounds. The body language in the post match press conference showed it all. The players have lost respect. And even more sad is that the coach has lost respect for his players. He was rude, arrogant and had no sensible responses to any questions.. Desperate men will do desperate things. What we are seeing is a desperate man who will say and do anything to keep his job. Our players, our fans and our club deserves better.
