Kennedy, Release at season end? Yes or No?

Ahhh at last a sensible comment. Someone with some depth to their thinking. Thank you.
If you want to big note yourself, at least use the commenting system correctly. It's pretty hard to read or understand your posts when they're out of context. If you're replying to someone, use the "reply with quote" button, oh yeah, and when you do quote someone it would be good if you actually wrote something to go along with it.

it will be interesting to see how long kennedy spends in QCUP but i imagine it will only be the one week.

next round we play minus our origin players so i'm sure he'll get a start then (even though none of our props will play origin, i would expect someone like mcguire will play "lock" while parker and gillett are away.

For arguments sake let's say Hodges, Gillett, Parker and McGuire all have Origin duty and Thaiday is still out injured - how do you think we line up?

I'm feeling:

1. Ben Barba
2. Daniel Vidot
3. Jack Reed
4. Dale Copley
5. Lachlan Maranta
6. Josh Hoffman
7. Ben Hunt
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Jarrod Wallace
11. Alex Glenn
12. David Stagg
13. Todd Lowrie

14. Jake Granville
15. David Hala
16. Corey Oates
17. Martin Kennedy

Lowrie and Stagg should never start over Oates. Ever.

If that's your team YOU want. However if you think that's what Hook will do, I can't say I'd be surprised myself

I'd say you're about right, given our roster and coaches though. That back row though.... Once seen, it cannot be unseen.

I'd consider just moving McGuire to lock for this period. I think that's his position once Parker retires anyway.

ipswich is playing now on ch 9 if anyone wants to observe kennedy

i thought he hasnt been too bad. nothing to write home about but a few runs he dented the line and got quick play the balls away.

not really demanding a recall. but in saying that hala is offering nothing.

Kennedy needs to be recalled next week against Manly. Just needs to run a bit harder. Still way better then Hala and Stagg.

He's been on for 5 minutes in this half, twice now he's rolled it through on the play-the-ball, obviously the Roosters tunnel-ball tactic. It might seem helpful for the team, but Griffin (and the fans hopefully) would be asking for a disciplined display, not cheap lazy tactics. Kind of shows that Kennedy is after the easy way out, not willing to do the hard work IMO.

Didn't see the first half but Kennedy seems content to stand on the fringes in both attack and defence. He needs to be taking charge of the middle. We've got enough back rowers.

I only saw the last 20 minutes but he was ridiculously lazy in an otherwise enthusiastic team. He was just walking around behind the line, not looking for the ball. Maybe he got through a tonne of work in the first half but if not he just looked disinterested.

If Kennedy doesn't even wanna perform at QLD cup level, we can tear up his contract tomorrow.

Did you watch the game? He was probably the best forward on the field. The Cutters #10 was impressive too, but Kennedy was solid, without being spectacular.

Wow, people really expect miracles from Kennedy. I reckon some of you won't be happy until he makes 20 runs for 200 metres, 45 tackles, 3 line breaks and 2 try assists...

Rod Griffin goes through heaps of work, but somehow I doubt he would make too much of an impact in FG at prop. He could be a very good lock though!

Yep that was my feeling too. Porthoz, it would be nice to see him getting something like those stats to show he wants back in to FG, he doesn't even look interested in the ITSC. He bent the line sure but he dropped it almost every time he did, put in a stupid unnecessary kick and tried an offload or two that went forward. He can stay in the ITSC thanks for now.
