Only way he stays is we make a reshuffle 6 Milf 7 Kodi 9 Hunt and boot Macca because he has no way in.

Obviously crappy to be losing kodi and I like him a lot, but in reality I think given the way we use him he's probably our most disposable position.

In a fully fit team he's a luxury we can currently afford, but we can do without that impact cameo role.

Having a reliable rock at hooker in McCullough is, in my opinion invaluable. There wouldn't be many I'd trade him for. Impact bench hookers while not a dime a dozen, are certainly more abundant.

I don't think we'll be able to afford anyone of note while retaining most of our current stocks. But if we want a similar zippy type of impact player, what about another raw half cum hooker to develop like Cameron Cullen, zach docker clay or Christian hazard?

Even a srama, friend or Moseley if we can fit one in given titans stockpile of hookers. I'd take any as a back up over waddell.

I won't begrudge him if he takes what is TBH a great opportunity. As much as want him to say I certainly can understand if he goes. Two great players in Cronk and Smith to learn off.

Kodi has been a handy weapon off the bench, but he's not the lynchpin of our side. Can hardly begrudge him taking an opportunity at Melbourne and fast tracking his career. Not sure why they'd look to move Green on though. Doubt he's on big coin and he's a consistent performer.

Personally I think Kodi is still a ways off a starting role. His best attributes lend themselves to the bench role. He'll have to work on his endurance and composure if he wants to be effective over a longer stint.

By the by, talk of shuffling our spine to accompany him at 9 is bananas. Hunt is a form halfback with a great synergy to Milf, Boyd and Macca. Moving him back to hooker would be our worst move since Hoffdog at 6.

I agree with this.

Sure Kodi goes well for us coming off the bench, and i'd love to keep him as that dynamic really works for us, but i don't know whether he'll have the same impact as a starting 5/8 ?

Good luck to the kid though, he is a talent and deserves his shot at a starting spot somewhere.

It sounds like Green is getting bigger offers from elsewhere. More than the Storm think he is worth so instead of matching it, they will just move him on and bring in Kodi.

I have to say, I like the idea.

I've always felt Hunt would be a better halfback if he was playing next to Locky. I think Kodi will really benefit playing next to Cronk.

Usually I would be upset we're losing a talented kid like Kodi, but I accepted a long time ago that he wasn't going to be with the Broncos for much longer. With the improvement of Macca and Boyd, and Milford and Hunt being one of (if not the best) halves combinations in the game, he wasn't going to be getting much time in the starting side. Only during the Origin period and if there were injuries. Better for him to move on and learn from one of the best halves in the game.

Maybe in the future we can lure him back to the club. You never know what could happen.

or punting Macca (a solid hooker) who we have missed desperately during his injury

We missed Macca for one half of one game, the start against Cronulla but from then on we've been good. I would agree we missed Macca and it will be good to have him back.

I was thinking that maybe Bennett was going to groom him for FB in a season or 2 and move Boyd out into the centres...I kind of got the feeling that Bennett had a plan for him and that he was going to be part of the future?? I can't see him going anywhere unless Wayne says otherwise.
