not true at all. He's great under a high ball, fast and a good tackler. I reckon the only thing that is bringing him down is the things that people say about him.

All players find their level and Lachy has found the NRL just a bit above his pay grade. Seriously if he is getting down reading comments on here he should stop coming on, work his arse off in the off season and prove us all wrong, if he believed in his ability that is what he would do.

He might be nice and I'm sure he is - but he's not paid to be nice, he's paid to play football. Which he does generally reasonably well IMO. However, he is also paid, at the moment, as a winger. Wingers are required to score tries, probably more so than ANY other position on the field. Unfortunately, he's not been brilliant at the try-scoring caper at NRL level this season.

I honestly hope he does come back and prove everyone wrong, that'd be great!! I hope he's able to lean out a bit and get his speed back in the off-season, maybe he just hasn't been comfortable with his playing weight this year and it's affected his confidence? No-one here is questioning his attitude, just whether his skill level is up to NRL standard. Time will tell.

I tend to agree - he'll be much better for the experience of this year. A few months off to get the head right may well do him wonders, and I'm banking on it. I doubt he'll ever be a premier winger in the game (ie. JYY) but I think he has enough to be a very solid winger who most clubs would be very happy with.

I'm a fan of Maranta. Defensively, he's very solid. I thought he played well against the Knights. I also accept that he has cost us genuine scoring opportunities. Hopefully he can work on his attacking skills in the off season.
