Lachlan Maranta

Well that doesn't give you guys an excuse for say nasty things about him!
Have you seen the Wallace thread? :001_rolleyes:

Maranta has shown an absolute lack of killer instinct and couldn't find the try line to save his life. That's what caused people's reactions, not the other way around.

I respect young Lachie, because he always gives everything he has for the jersey he wears, and he might even turn his form around, but sorry, I just don't think he has what it takes to be a successful NRL player.

I personally don't rate Maranta and can't see improving at all. He is as average as they come and i'd be more then happy for him to never ever wear a broncos jersey again. He really needs to grow a pair if he honestly gets upset by comments online. Also I'm sick of people saying 'he'll be better next year or step up next year', they all had ample opportunities to step up and prove the critics wrong this year and they didn't so I'm far from optimistic that they will next year.

Well he couldn't step down.... buts seriously if he does improve I doubt he'll get a spot in the team without ridiculous numbers of injuries. If he doesn't improve I hope he still doesn't get a spot.

I think Maranta might weigh too much for his style of play. I'd like to see if he can show us that speed he mentioned he had if he dropped 5 or 10 kilos (he's almost 100 atm, I believe). But with Hook as coach, it's unlikely to happen.

Being the grandson of one of the founding members just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover, poor cnt.

It's hard for someone to play exactly like their father. His father (Brett Plowman) was an awesome player and people expect him to be exactly the same, only Lachlan is a winger not a front/back rower.
