Langer gone. Who is attacking coach next season?

I guess we won't know if it is any good until later on down the track. He has plenty of experience and has never had anything to do with the Broncos which can only be seen as a positive.

Hopefully he actually gets the Broncos invloved in the wrestle. We seem to be one of the few sides that isn't even remotely interested in slowing the play the ball down. I hate it but while they let you do it you may as well join the rest of them. Melbourne have made 5 of the last 7 grand finals by cheating the cap and by wrestling.

Yep, hopefully he helps our defensive structures out and gets them putting players on their back. I don't want to see us become dirty in the ruck but there's certainly an art form to it that we're missing and have been since the Roosters brought it in back in 02.

Either way, it's not like he's replacing somebody like Bennett or anything. I'm pretty sure it's only just Alf and he never had any true ambition.

If the Kearney thing is true I am all for it. I think he will be an asset and can't be judged on what happened at parra. Players need to actually give a s*** for a coach to be effective

I don't see how this is a positive step. For Kearney or the Broncos.

I actually think its a very positive step for both. I have always thought Kearney has a lot to offer in terms of coaching, I just think he is too nice a guy to be head coach. Win win in my books... Time will tell though

Regardless of what the club did nobody was ever going to be really happy.

Exactly. If most of us weren't so depressed at only making the 8 /sarcasm we could look at things in perspective and see this as a pretty big coup. But time will tell and I'm sure if he is a success everyone will be lauding how the new it was the right step right from the start

This is the bloke who couldn't get the best out of stayne and sandow hmm

An interesting move to say the least. Kearney obviously doesn't do well in a club where the inmates lead the assylum. He has done well as Kiwi coach and did well as assistant in Melbourne. Perhaps, a club like the Broncos with a good culture could see him do some good. Given we've got a couple of kiwi test players in our side could see him given instant respect (which I guess is his to lose).

Because some of the players were running the place. Just like at the Wests Tigers.

Things will improve at Parra with Ricky at the helm.

Kearney is just the kind of (staff) signing we needed. Langer was no good as assistant coach, having a real coach as an assistant coach who was also assistant at Melbourne during 5 grand finals will be a huge help to Griffin.

I'm actually very happy with the signing. Makes me more positive for next year but I'm still holding out hope we can sign at least one good player during the off season.

The biggest positive out of hiring Kearney is that he has no real connections with the Broncos. Fresh blood at the club and a guy with enough experience to speak up.

Agree.

We need to employ more people with no connections to the club.
