More defections.

I know im extremly biased to NSW and i'm not afraid to show it.

Looks like Buderus could be defecting from the old mans home back into Origin.. :haha:

It is pretty concerning for NSW that Buderus may be their best option at 9 and he is 34 years old!

I agree mate in your situation I would but it is a little worrying you dont have someone better than a 34 year old returning after a long spell in a lower intensity league.

Bedsy is a world class hooker and the it shows as Cameron Smith never dominated any origin game till Bedsy went to England. Personally I think Gidley should be the hooker as he has played there succesfully since 2010.

Rocky is right, though Buderus is old he's still a strong option and Ennis and Farah aren't really that bad. It's the fact that he'll be passing to Soward and Pearce that's the real cause of concern. Soward requires too much structure IMO. Cronk is quite similar in that regard, but Soward just needs so much more set up for him to be effective. His kicking game is the perfect example of this. Cronk can kick at the line, put all his defenders onside and create momentum with his kicks. Soward needs to be so far behind the line that it's impossible for any of his chasers to be onside. He's just an awful option at Origin level.

Pearce has a lot of good qualities, but he lacks the vision and creativity of his Origin predecessors. Is there anyone else NSW can pick this time around? James Maloney might be one, but so far he looks disinterested and has his eye on the Roosters transfer (one game I know, but still, he was awful in it).

That's officially the stupidest thing ever written on this forum.

Smith has dominated Origin games since his debut in '03.

And if you can't take Jeba's word for it, his 2007 Origin man of the series award speaks volumes.

Buderus can be relied on in defence, but his service left a lot to desire 5 years ago, let alone now.

That is probably the 2nd most ridiculous thing ever said on this forum. He's always provided outstanding service. 5 years ago AND now.

buderus is a myth. He was made to look good by Johns.

IMO, should NSW select Buderus at hooker for this series it proves the NSW have learnt nothing. they need to get the guys who are going to be there for the next 5-10 years ready to handle origin, just like when QLD selected the likes of Smith, Inglis, Thurston and Slater. the longer you put off selecting the younger guys the longer QLD will continue to dominate origin.

Great argument Rock, you really made some strong points...

And LOL 3rd Man Beads. If we're taking points out of context than surely Jack Reed being s**t takes the cake.

Because the point is clear for everyone to see. If his service was still 'so awesome' he wouldn't have received a tap on the shoulder from his own coach and he would have been more dangerous for NSW around the ruck area in his last two Origin series. Even Ennis & Kidley have shown more zip than Bedsy in their efforts.

Plus Foordy makes a great point. This back to the future approach is just negative and would prove as silly as all those recalls of Brett Kimmorley and Trent Barrett.

Coming back with the complete opposite opposite point without backing it up doesn't reflect well on you.

And that was my point. My comment has been taken out of context just as much as yours has been. It's just another useless Beads troll post.

So we agree that Broncoman's was the stupidest ever? Surely?
