I believe Walters is the best fit for the immediate future to come in and help right the ship.

The club isn't ready for an outsider to come in and make their mark.
This. It doesn't matter how good a coach you may be, with the current situation, outside influences, player entitlement and rotting culture, we need a "consensus coach" who will appease those who mined Seibold's field from the start, be it because they were upset at WB's booting or because Kevvie didn't get the job, as well as someone capable of knocking a number of heads down in the playing ranks.

Hopefully Kevvie is the man for the job, but no matter who it is, he will have my support, as long as the team shows improvement with time, instead of what we had since 2015: stagnation and retrogress.

The board are in this position because they completely bottled the exit of Bennett... they've set us back probably 2-3 years, maybe more, given we now have to rebuild our brand and culture.

That has to start with Kevvie.

If they bring an outsider in again it will just be Seibold 2.0... bring Kevvie in, start mending the bridges and rebuilding the morale of the playing group.
Yeah agreed. We know what we are gonna get with kevvie... he will most likely fix our culture and get us playing with a passion... People have been talking about what he has done at catalans but that was a decade ago, since than he has worked under both bellamy and bennett as well as coach some of the best to play our game at origin. Also he is gonna be on a lot smaller contract money wise and length wise. If he is not performing he loves the club so much that regardless of money he would step aside.

Kevvie's earlier head coaching experience - coached the Clydesdales to a premiership in the 2001 Qld Cup - played 20, won 18, lost 1

2007 Ipswich Jets - coached them to 4th position - played 20, won 13, drew 1, lost 6
2008 Ipswich Jets - coached them to minor premiership and beaten GFinalist - Played 20, won 16, +327 points diff.
That suggests that the guy can coach.

The club has to go with Kevvie, they have to shut up all the noise around the club but sign him for 2 years only.

Yeah two years only is the first step. If he proves himself, they can start extending him. We have already seen what kind of damage a 5 year contract can do and now with that coaching cap coming in, 2 year deals are going to start to become the norm.

One bad season on an otherwise impressive coaching record. The first season they were one game away from the GF despite only winning one from the first six.

But you are right, let's make a determination based on the outlier (that always works well).

Jeez Kevs pretty popular here
The polls not really accurate though. 50 votes had already been cast when there was only two choices. Completely disregard the results. It was only after a whole host of other names were added did we get a proper selection. I'm sure the poll would still show KW as the winner but it certainly wouldn't look like it does now. It'd still be strongly in KWs favour.

At this point you’d think Walters would likely still Coach the 2020 series regardless of what the Broncos decide to do?
