Who should it be?

I have a selection process that would be fair for all possible coaches.

Thanks for the info even if a high turnover it doesn’t fill me with tones of confidence.

I know him personally mate I can assure you he is no goose. How did you form this opinion???
Have heard stories he's a goose on the piss .
So that is why you're pushing his case ?
I have no interest in him being at the Broncos and I don't care if he is a goose or not, I don't believe he is the right person.

As far as green goes, my acupuncture guy who I have seen once a week for the last 7 years is a mad cowboys fan, 2015 was a “frosty” year for us lol, but his biggest gripe was he never blooded young talent and they lost some damn good players because of it. This is what scares me the most about green, it’s potentially showing he doesn’t have patience to work with younger players and develop them.

Catalans weren't good prior to Robinson arriving and haven't been good since he left:

It's certainly alarming that Walters has the worst coaching record in the clubs history, but it was 10 years ago to be fair.

To give some more context to these numbers, Walters first year at Catalans was decent, they finished with a record of 13 wins and 14 losses, barely scraping in to the top 8. Bundled out in week 1 of the finals to Leeds 27-20 (Who went on to win the comp). Their roster was relatively good with quite a bit of NRL talent - Steven Bell, Adam Mogg, Casey McGuire, Shane Perry, Greg Bird, Dane Carlaw, Jason Croker, Jason Ryles.

His second season was a disaster. They finished the year 14th with a record of 6 wins and 21 losses. -328 for and against. The only notable changes from the roster from 2009 was that they lost Bird, Mogg, Ryles, Croker & Perry - But replaced them with Dallas Johnson, Brent Sherwin & Chris Walker.

Absolutely not pushing his case for that reason. You are making an assumption that I know him well enough to like him or dislike him. I know him well enough to know he is no goose and I have never seen him carry on on the drink. Normally very reserved.

I think KW will get the job and fix a lot of external issues which in turn gives the club a decent chance to improve. I also think Kevvie will bring the best out in Milf which is also essential for us.
( **** me can you imagine Staggs outside of an in form Milf.)

I do think that Green would also do a pretty good job because we have talent and as I have pointed out he can come into a club and get the most from a decent roster.

I get the impression that Kev would be too nice, very passionate, but not overly clever or strong-willed in his management style. I also believe that the old boys want him there so the ‘jobs for the boys’ motto is back in place, which he would succumb to.
No, I see where you come from cause to everybody he is a humble, respectful and kind man. But when it comes to coaching I do believe he gets quite passionate and animated. I think as long as he has respect which obviously he will immediately walk into with just because of who he is, that he won’t need to be a Craig Bellamy types hot head and will get the best out of his players with passion and when needed a bit of anger

Well, at least he gives good pressers: In the 2019 SOO Game 2 press conference, after the 38-6 flogging, he said:

"We were poor in a lot of areas tonight, I am not going to single out one player, even our kick off to start the game was shit. Across the board we just weren't in the game. It was everywhere. The kick-off fucking pissed me off. It didn't go far enough. They beat us up everywhere".

Now that's what we need Anthony.
Exactly he wants perfection Anthony is happy with slight improvements whereas Kevvie gets pissed with an average kick

Green might do well but his insecurities with younger players doesn't fill me with confidence. Kevvie has to be the guy.

Walters would be the feel good option, but i don't know if he is the best option. I seem to recall last time we were playing Coach Bingo that his coaching record isn't that flash. If he wasn't an ex-Bronco I can't see why we would want him.

The other thing I am concerned about is making it an Old Boys club, where agendas rule and it becomes about power. Didn't the Eels suffer for years because different factions of Parra greats were vying for power, each saying how much they loved the club and wanted what was best, while tearing the club apart through in-fighting? There is a reason the Broncos bought in someone fresh and not tied down with politics or agendas. Not saying Kev has any of that, just saying that if he doesn't get us performing pretty fucking quick (and his coaching record doesn't suggest otherwise), I can see the club imploding and other former greats wanting their turn. Ikin as CEO could potentially just compound it.

With the right assistants though it may work. All things considered, Walters would still be my choice, even if it's just to drag some respect back to the jersey. If he learns from Seibold's mistakes, draws a line in the sand, weeds out the weak links, it might end up a success.

That was actually the third week of the finals.

I'm not entirely sure what happened with Kev in France. As somebody who barely keeps tabs on the Super League, it seemed like he barely qualified for the finals, went on a run and the Dragons ended up where most fans expected. Then they followed it up with a horrible season.

Yeah but morkels with Ikin CEO , Kevvie coach and Alf still out there, It'll feel like getting the band back together again !!!

I dont think we have a choice, it has to be Kevvie even though i dont think he is the right person for the job. The sniping just wont stop unless he gets it and thats no good for us as a club.

problem is ... if he isn't the right person for the job, and we have to sack him ... the sniping from the likes of Chris Johns will start right back up again because we sacked their mate

It does feel that way, which is not the best position to be making the decision. I go back & forth on him, but I think we lost sight of our identity a bit in trying to replicate a Bellamy or Robo mould of coach, which probably got us into trouble with Seibs. So in that respect Kevvie might be the perfect coach for the broncos.

The board are in this position because they completely bottled the exit of Bennett... they've set us back probably 2-3 years, maybe more, given we now have to rebuild our brand and culture.

That has to start with Kevvie.

If they bring an outsider in again it will just be Seibold 2.0... bring Kevvie in, start mending the bridges and rebuilding the morale of the playing group.
