Can't believe Griffin got a 2 year contract with the Dragons as head coach. He must be the most over-rated coach in the NRL. i don't buy that

at the Panthers they were on the up and sitting in 5th place with an overall win % of 58% ... he was fired for not being Gould's puppet

at the Broncos he built a competitive team, with the work he did being a part of the reason we made the 2015 GF. overall win rate of 53%

his career win % is 55%

from the sounds of things any QLD appointment for Bennett will be a short term 1 year deal, because they don't want someone unfamiliar with the systems coming in at short notice for this years series

from what i can gather, there are a couple of reasons the QRL are concerned.

1. Walters would be essentially a rookie NRL coach
2. they realise that Walters has a fair bit of work to do, considering our current plight. and given this, taking him away from his club duties for a month or so would be unfair both to him and us

my guess is that if Walters gets the Broncos job, Bennett will coach the Maroons in the 2020 series, before a full time coach is appointed for 2021 on (likely Green)
