Boo. Saints need a corner desperately, and that Maxwell and Flowers off the list...

I don't think the Saints have any salary cap space to go shopping for a quality corner.

Bah. That's what they want you to think. Every year they're hard against the cap (actually usually over it) and every year they still pull off big signings. Jarius Byrd last year, for instance (hopefully that works out better this year than it did last year...). They've already started the cuts and contract restructuring.

Rumour has it they're looking at Weatherspoon from the Falcons, though, so they may be heading towards LB in free agency and CB in the draft. I'd still expect them to add a corner, but probably not a top name. Maybe a vet like Cromartie if the price is right.

While the part of doing more with less is historically correct, we then need to address the fact that Brady is way more of a "system qb" than Manning. The proof of this is in the year that Brady missed due to injury, New England still went 11-5. In the year Manning was out with injury, Indianapolis went 1-15.

Plus, Brady plays for a cheat team that knows what other teams are going to do and has balls deflated for him, so theres that.

If you stuck Mannings on Bradys o-line, he would get smashed
You stick Brady on Mannings o-line he puts up monster numbers regardless
With the talent Manning has had around him especially on the offensive line, it was simply pathetic how he folded like a deck of cards in last years super bowl. Brady >>>> Manning every day of the week and his super bowl rings prove it.
Oh and ever think that Cassell was a much better qb then Painter & Collins? That might have been why the Pats got their shit together even with Brady injured

Yeah but who are they going to replace him with and what are they going to get for him?

No idea... new coach, new ideas, new preferences?

As to what they will get for him, even less of a clue.

Blaine Gabbert, he's so good he can play with his eyes closed.

Rings prove it do they? Do you rate Joe Flacco and Brad Johnson as better QB's than Dan Marino?

Brett Favre only has 1 ring! That means he's got nothing on Eli Manning.

Is Cassell better than Painter? Sure. Is Cassell 10 wins better than Painter? Not a chance, Cassell not being able to hold down a starters job for an extended period proves my point. Brady does well with what he's got because what he's got is pretty damn good. Maybe Uncle Bill can cheat his way to another superbowl and Brady can have 5 rings which makes him the best of all time.

All of these players that Oakland were meant to sign are going elsewhere.
