Lynch, May, Prestia, Cameron, Treloar, Adams, Shiel, Steele, Saad, Dickson, Hall, O'Meara and many others I'm forgetting. Taranto and Rankine so far this trade period.
The Lions lost all their young stars in one off-season and it took them 5 years to recover.
The Roosters would be in heaven if a draft was brought in, would suit their recruitment style to a tee.
That isn't the point though. Rankine is the only one who is/was a 'kid', the others have all played for years. In fact, Saad is at his third club. At the time O'Meara left, the GC were a basket case. The go home 5 for Brisbane was an anomaly and happened ten years ago.
Turns out though, Horne-Francis from Norths is going back to SA, that's one in your favour. Regardless, there are about 20 draft picks a year and of these, maybe 1 or 2 a year go home. Geelong doesn't pick up kids, they pick up mature or old players. Taranto and Hopper have all been at GWS for years and a mid-age players at a team that's heading downhill, this is common across the league.
Brisbane itself is benefitting by getting Dunkley and Gunston but trades are the AFL version of NRL players moving to another club. Most of the players you've mentioned moving have nothing to do with the draft.
