when did the Sea Eagles relocate north of the border? or south to Tassie
lol as if it is different in NSW. Try harder to justify it, please.
There are people that have their penises cut off and turned into vaginas because they have a mental illness.
So, did they cut your dick off? If they want to make those changes to themselves, that is their choice as an adult. Just like not wearing a jersey with some extra colours on it.

So why is it so strange some players don’t want to wear that particular perverted jersey? It’s quite sick if you look at it from a normal pov. Can’t these same football players have that same right as an adult?

It is absolutely bigotry and using religion to say you're against a certain group of people's lifestyle is dumb. If their god is too outraged to let them wear rainbows while they run around in shorts tackling other men, getting changed before and after the game in the same room as men, showering with men, kissing them when they score tries, rolling around trying to get them on their backs for dominance and trying to hold balls for 80 minutes, he can get fucked too.

If we are going to continuously let these people pray on the field they need to be ok with wearing a rainbow. Otherwise ban prayer on the field too. At the end of the day, these hypocrites can just ask their god for forgiveness on Sunday, like they do after they drink, cheat on their wives and gamble.

Rugby League is for everyone.
Since when is saying you don't agree with something bigotry?

You disagree with their opinion, that must be bigotry then.

Not in the context of being employees. It isn't perverted to grant everyone equal rights. It is perverted that it is being leveraged for marketing purposes. I also disagree with the jersey, but for an entirely different premise. But I allow Manly the right to make those mistakes.

how about you prove your argument.

prove that refusing to wear that gay pride jersey is against the law (in NSW in particular since that's where the team is located and the game will be played)

I highly doubt even in QLD refusing to wear a gay pride jersey breaches that law you posted.

* a completely normal adult decision as a male is to have your dick cut off btw.

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

It was damn silly of the club not to consult with the players first if only to avoid an embarrassing moment in the media, especially after the Folau shitstorm, but the fact that they didn't shows that there is a tacit expectation in society now, even among Rugby League footy clubs that you would be supportive of something like this, and the fact that these faceless players have come out and made it clear they're not says a tonne more about them than it does the club.

If I were Manly I would let the mentioned players wear the regular jersey while the rest wear the Pride jersey. The audience can play "Spot the Bigot" and then they can deal with the washup on their social media while the club and the rest enjoy their week.

Exactly! And on the contrary https://www.ag.gov.au/rights-and-pr...dom-thought-conscience-and-religion-or-belief

From this article -sets dress standards that do not accommodate religious dress or symbols

apparently Many won't be permitted to do that. they've all got to wear the same jersey

Guess you are right. NSW, home of the homophobe.

Seriously, though:

The Act prohibits unlawful racial, sexual and other types of discrimination in certain circumstances and promotes equality of opportunity for all people

The Act covers the following types of discrimination:

  • Sex (including breastfeeding, pregnancy and sexual harassment)
  • Disability (including past, present or future disability and also includes actual or perceived HIV status)
  • Race (including ethno-religion)
  • Homosexuality (actual or perceived)[1]
  • Marital or domestic status
  • Age (present or future)
  • Transgender (including transsexuality)
  • Carer’s responsibilities (but only within employment).

I don't think you even understand the word you're trying to argue against.

Prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

Explain to me how not wanting to wear a jersey dedicated to a particular group isn't bigotry? What's their reasoning? It sure as **** isn't "I don't like rainbows". It's 2022, these sort of opinions genuinely hurt people.

Every team should wear a rainbow so we can weed out the bigots.

Manly have essentially caused a problem that didn't exist with this jersey thing, I can see all the gay rights activists coming out against the NRL if they don't take to the field in that jersey, all 17 players

I doubt it is a decision one takes lightly. However, who are you to tell them it is normal? Supreme Leader Tommy?

i see nothing dictating that people must wear certain clothing

It's the dictionary definition of bigotry.

Whether or not your employer can force you to wear something that goes against your fictional stories is up for debate though.

I feel like you are so blind to the facr that you can't see any other perspective. It's their right as a free human in Australia to choose not to do something. We don't live in North Korea or some country where we must all share the same views. As far as I'm concerned manly can wear a pride jersey, I don't actually care. it really isn't going to prove much wearing the jersey. But you can't force all the players to wear it.

So you now say you want to weed out the bigots? I mean, these guys don't want to wear a jersey, but you want to get rid of anyone with religious beliefs?
