I don't think you even understand the word you're trying to argue against.

Prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

Explain to me how not wanting to wear a jersey dedicated to a particular group isn't bigotry? What's their reasoning? It sure as **** isn't "I don't like rainbows". It's 2022, these sort of opinions genuinely hurt people.

Every team should wear a rainbow so we can weed out the bigots.
Just because you don’t want to wear something it doesnt make it bigotry. Using your argument if I don’t pray 5 times a day towards Mecca then I am prejudiced against muslims. And the fact is I love those fucking people.

if you were asked to wear a kilt and play bagpipes at work tomorrow would you do it? Or would you refuse and become a bigot?

you have such a simple argument, from a simple mind no doubt.

I feel like you are so blind to the facr that you can't see any other perspective. It's their right as a free human in Australia to choose not to do something. We don't live in North Korea or some country where we must all share the same views. As far as I'm concerned manly can wear a pride jersey, I don't actually care. it really isn't going to prove much wearing the jersey. But you can't force all the players to wear it.

So you now say you want to weed out the bigots? I mean, these guys don't want to wear a jersey, but you want to get rid of anyone with religious beliefs?
If I play for the Broncos and decide I don't like the colour maroon, as a free Australian, can I refuse to wear the uniform?

If you don't want to wear your works uniform they probably have a right to let you go. It's not illegal to decline to wear it, but it certainly shows what a fuckwit you are.

And yes, if those beliefs mean you're against another group of people that doesn't affect you at all, then I am against them. But no, I don't want to get rid of them. I want them to evolve with the times and stop using their religion as an excuse to be a fuckwit.

apple and Oranges

when you sign your contract with the Broncos you know that their colours include Maroon

rainbow isn't a part of the Sea Eagles club colours

It's the reason behind them not wanting to wear it that makes them bigots. Nobody is asking them to suck a dick or practice what they're promoting. Your example is fucking stupid. So is the 2nd example.

Yeah good one. You seem lost, 4chan is missing a super valuable poster while you waste your time in 2022 over here.

Queensland's Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and amendments create laws that are similar to Tasmania's. In 2001, the Islamic Council of Queensland brought the first action under the Anti-Discrimination Act for victimisation on account of religion. The Islamic Council complained that the respondent Mr. Lamb, a candidate in a federal election, had expressed some unfavourable opinions about Muslims in an electioneering-pamphlet. Walter Sofronoff, for the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal, dismissed the action on the ground that Mr. Lamb did not intend to incite hatred or contempt but rather wanted to let the electors know his opinions on political matters.[13]

Tassie:

Section 19 of Tasmania's Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 prohibits anyone from inciting hatred. The Act says:

A person, by a public act, must not incite hatred towards, serious contempt for, or severe ridicule of, a person or a group of persons on the ground of – (a) the race of the person or any member of the group; or (b) any disability of the person or any member of the group; or (c) the sexual orientation or lawful sexual activity of the person or any member of the group; or (d) the religious belief or affiliation or religious activity of the person or any member of the group.

Sounds like a public display of serious contempt to me...
The thing is, it goes both ways (no pun intended)

If the players are told they must wear the shirt against their religious beliefs, how is that any different to the discrimination that the LGBTQ community felt in the past for being themselves? It's just proving the lesson from it was never learnt.

I'm not saying I agree with reglion as a whole because I dont, but I can see the forest through the trees in regards to this.

i see nothing dictating that people must wear certain clothing
My original point was it is illegal to make a public display that shows serious contempt for a minority group based on sexual orientation.

You must wear a uniform that promotes that everyone is welcome is very different to saying you're completely against someones existence.

If refusing to wear a jersey was serious contempt, the entire media should be thrown in jail for the inflammatory shit they publish daily.

and you haven't even remotely gotten close to proving what those 7 bigots from Manly plan to do is illegal.

hell, it would get laughed out of court if any state tried to prosecute them for it.

Because it is a work uniform. Your employer can enforce that you wear PPE or a mask. This is the difference. You can dispute it, sure, but the thing is, you are essentially disputing the equal rights of a group based on their sexual orientation that has no impact on you. Their rights do not impinge on your rights, but your rights are impinging on theirs.

Did I say that it is enforced correctly?

With that line of thinking the next step is to make pedophilia acceptable. Absolutely disgusting. **** off anyone who agrees with you you fucking disgusting *****.

Because no team has ever worn different colours....

Literally making a public display of serious contempt against a group of people for their sexual orientation.

It might get laughed out, but it doesn't make it any less true. Look how the bigots on here have jumped at the chance. This has literally incited hatred.

But they also have in their contracts the proviso that the Broncos can have themed jerseys, and they sign off on that without questioning the proposed themes, you see.

Did they sign a contract that said that it won't be?
