the politician Peter Vlandy's has "intervened" in the CBA talks and now it looks like the big ticket items could be agreed to be the end of the week.

It is being reported that until now Vlandy's has only had a "minor" role in the negotiations, but took a seat at the table today and is expected to be front and centre for the remainder of the week as the parties attempt to thrash out a final deal.

"sources" close to negotiations say they would be surprised if the big ticket items were not agreed by the end of the week.
