Gotta give the media props for giving Clint a platform, allowing him to make intelligent responses, all while undermining their own position and weakening their power in the media. At least, I hope most NRL fans are seeing this the same way we seem to be here at BHQ. I've seen some pretty poor takes in other NRL forums on other issues (typically regurgitating Gus or Kent).
This is what I don't get, they had complete media domination with how it was before this, I can't believe they were stupid enough to give him a Platform, even when he was outnumbered Newton completely cleaned them up and exposed the clear agenda.

Pure gas lighting..
"Don't know what they're fighting for"... there's literally a FAQ sheet with it right in front of you
"RLPA shredded"... Newton came out of it looking better than them
"The fans are the ones being punished"... most fans have been siding with the players and hate the fucking media

Pride before the fall...and all that

Listening to the daily telegraph podcast and they are trying to credit some of NSW game 3 success to Ivan Cleary been part of the game for them. Apparently he was in the box with Freddy.

Curious as to everyone's thoughts on cleary as a coach. Is he just benefiting from an incredibly well run club with a brilliant roster and adding very little himself?

Could any old coach step into that current Panthers system and deliver success or is clearly genuinly a gun coach?

I think he deserves credit... however things really changed in 2020 with the 6 again rule change.

Long kicking game is key under the current rules and he has a system that perfectly works to that. They're a grind it out field position winning machine, and they want to be in the grind all the time.

He's created a system at penrith where he can sub in a Newcastle plodder at halfback to replace one of the best players in the league and barely skip a beat.

Outside backs churning out +100m each a game, allowing his forwards to load up in defence... and then Cleary being able to punt it 50m on the full to turn a bad set into field position.

They've looked near unbeatable for 3-4 years now and look to be well on their way to a third straight premiership.

I thought Cleary was also the best coach warriors have had, whilst not achieving a premiership success he did have them being reasonably successful whilst at the helm.

He had tigers also looking decent and like they could turn things around, until Gus vultured him back to panthers to make sure the little chin didn't leave.

Grant is still on his old deal, his extension is for 24 and 25. That amount if even accurate will be more for 24 and 25.

I was just reading about the NRL redoing the scheduling for origin and possibly making it after the seasons ends. I couldnt disagree with this any more than I possibly could now, international football is so underrated and no where near enough attention gets put into international rugby league. Other sports international representative is the top of the food chain but I find it ridiculous that Origin is considered more important to NRL players.

The NRL have started another crackdown, this time on "raising the bumpers".

So what happened with Cobbo on the weekend getting binned for a messy fend? Get ready to see a lot more of it. I cannot believe these clowns.
