NRL Player Movement and Rumours 2016

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Kata is a Hurrell clone in a lot of ways.

That doesn't mean he has the makings of an elite centre. In fact, I'd be very concerned with his development.

Concerned in what way? He has age and the physicality on his side, one only hopes his footy brain improves at the same rate.
The only reason I'd be concerned is because of the club he's at and they're shady development of players.

That's the problem.

I don't see a lot of upside in him either. He strikes me as the type of player that hits the ESL by 2019 and he's only remembered for ripping up in the 2014 NYC GF.

Time will tell I guess BP, I'm looking forward to watching his development none the less.

Tony Williams in talks with Manly to join for the rest of the season. Not sure exactly how they've got cap space, unless I've missed something..

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Cap space? I'd say Tony Williams comes pretty cheap these days.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

I know Williams won't be worth much but you would think the salary cap would somehow hinder teams from buying half of a starting 13.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Depends on how you manage it. Every clubs manages it differently. Its not a bad idea to keep some free in case of injury.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Williams was valued at $650K when he signed his deal with the Bulldogs.

He isn't doing this out of charity.

you would have to wonder how much of his salary the Bulldogs are prepared to pay just to get rid of him

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Given Manly's squad, it is funny how poorly they are doing this season...and everyone is loving it!

Hahahaha is he really on that much?

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

That's the rumour. The man himself has said that he only left Manly for the big bucks.

Good move by the dogs. They've looked far more dynamic without him the past fortnight.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

And as we know moving on TRecked means they can afford Hayne and SBW because as we all know, anytime a player leaves or is moved on, the Dogs somehow afford a top notch player or two.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016

Do you reckon SBW would be game to show his face there again? That'd be pretty entertaining tbh!
