In the article about Foran possibly signing with the Warriors ... Paul Kent says the Warriors can afford Foran because they are releasing Leuluai on compassionate grounds.

That is Roosters level reasoning

That is pretty much as dodgy as it gets. Granted they've released Hurrell too, but I doubt he was on a million newzorland dollars either.

They'll have a lot more than that in terms of the National NZ side, especially if Fusitu'a keeps playing the way he is, they could potentially have 8 out of the starting 13. (Kata would likely make the NZ side as well, but I assume he can't because he was born in Tonga and has represented them since U21's)

They'll have a lot more than that in terms of the National NZ side, especially if Fusitu'a keeps playing the way he is, they could potentially have 8 out of the starting 13. I thought they would be top 4 for sure with the reduced interchange.

They have just gone backwards.

They are mentally fragile.

If they can fix that, they will be a threat. Until then, they will just be making up the numbers.

Yeah but new combinations were always going to take time to form. Plus Barret was an unknown quantity as a coach, different structures etc. In a very short time, Barret seems to have (mostly) gotten the side he wants. Next year is a true test for him as coach IMO.

Cullen would be a huge pick up for them, he would thrive outside DCE and would get Walker out of the halves which is what they definitely need.

Not so sure about the value of those acquisitions. Cullen is solid and at least a half where Walker isn't. Depth signing imo, but I hope he does well.

I don't see Mead doing a whole lot for them. Seems to be getting a lot of wraps lately, but I don't think he's got that much going for him. Relatively quick but will he offer a quantifiable impact over their current options?

In any case, they're not going far under Barrett. Guy has no clue, wouldn't look out of place on Jersey Shore.

Mead used to be like lightning. He would have given Roberts a run for his money in his younger days. But since his injuries he has lost all his pace. He made a break a few weeks ago where he made Jack Reed look like Usain Bolt.
