Did he come out and say that?

The one that really shits me is Pearce. He was never going to come up here IMO......he was always going to be in demand yet we're criticised for not signing him. Hodkinson on the other hand was on the scrap heap.

The only reason Hodkinson is not currently injured is because he is not playing NRL at the moment. Give it two weeks. Manly are desperate enough to take a punt on someone who has one of the worst injury records in the game, and a player that we all knew last year was almost forced in to retirement due to ongoing complications - a fact that everyone seems to think has solved itself overnight.

  2. Yeah. Cronulla (not the club) is home and that's where he wants to be.

Flanagan is refusing to release Hodkinson. We'll see how that pans out.

The club has already announced it though. Has Flanagan kidnapped him?

I don’t understand why the Sharks are doing favours for Manly in the first place... surely Hodkinson is excellent depth to keep in waiting. I know Flanno’s son is not far off, but you’d think you’d tell Manly to **** off.

  10. Guess they've got their forward pack of the future.

    8. Wallace
    9. Peats
    10. Boyd
    11. James
    12. Proctor
    13. Arrow

If they can find a semi-decent Five-Eighth and a couple of outside backs who know how to pay Rugby League, they could be spooky.

  11. 600k a year for Boyd?

    **** me they are desperate.

Boyd and Wallace is a pretty good combo. Wallace is a worker, Boyd kills it with the post contact metres.

At least they might stop stealing our players.

  14. They're paying so much money to their forwards + Taylor, jesus, no wonder they can't afford any above average players in the 1-6 positions.

    Taylor - $1m
    James - $700k
    Cartwright - $700k
    Wallace - $600k
    Boyd - $600k
    Proctor - $550k
    Peats - $500k

On top of these contracts, which are all the reported numbers by relatively reliable news outlets, there's no way guys like Peachey, Latu & Arrow would be on any less than $400-$450k either.

That's conservatively $6m out of the allotted $9.1m salary cap they're using on 10 out of their top 30 players, which means the remaining 20 players must all be on a salary of $150k on average, for them to be salary cap compliant in 2019.

So Barba is on his way back. Does his 6 month ban exclude him from training? At this point he can't play this year, so the only reason a club would sign him now is because they want him to have a pre-season with them and need to get the clock ticking ASAP.

  17. What 6 month ban?
