WESTS Tigers' pre-season has been knee-capped.
The club's fullback Tim Moltzen could be missing for the next six months after suffering yet another knee injury.
It is believed Moltzen may have cracked his kneecap in innocuous circumstances during a training session at St Lukes Park, Concord.
Moltzen was left writhng in pain and the 25-year-old playmaker is likely to miss the beginning of the season and could be sidelined for up to six months.
''It is a particularly nasty and uncomfortable injury,'' said Wests Tigers chief executive Grant Mayer.
Before making his NSW Origin debut in June, the 24-year-old revealed that he "loved" playing rugby and only chose league because he did not want to live in Canberra.
