NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2014

Proctor has signed as well on a deal worth 2.1 million over 3 years...

that is massive overs IMO

The debate over players being able to backflip on signed contracts is set reignite, with West Tigers preparing to make a last-ditch attempt to keep James Tedesco from heading to Canberra Raiders next year.

The Daily Telegraph has learned the Tigers are hopeful they can convince Tedesco to turn his back on a signed three-year deal with the Raiders by making him an offer he can’t refuse.

Although Tedesco has played just 48 NRL games, his astonishing impact has convinced Raiders officials the 21-year-old could be worth as much as $2 bazillion a year.

An offer of such magnitude would make a thrilling final twist in the Tedesco saga, which has set Tigers and Raiders at loggerheads for nearly a week.

We've been left little choice, either poach or die with the way the NRL have made developing a non priority. If the interview with Don was correct the other day watch the Raiders dramatically reduce the amount they spend on development.

I don't have a problem with the Raiders signing talent from other clubs ... Like the Raiders, the Broncos have been forced to in certain positions.

but it is massively hypocritical of them to do after Furner (or was it sticky) that had a go at the Broncos and their development for signing MILF

700k a year.

That is beyond ridiculous.

I understand Raiders are desperate, but fucking hell, that's a very bad move if it's true.

That Raiders team above is quality by there is a massive problem in that three of those guys: Lee, Campese and Tedesco are always injured. If they can all stay for though, that is a gun team and what a back line.

630k for Tedesco...and even worse, 700k for Proctologist. I could see them losing so quality young players.

Thankfully looks like Proctors signing was premature, Storm supposedly have come back with a new bid and kept him.

$630k for a spine player is basically what would be expected now days and its using the marquee allowance, as long as he stays fit it will be value. $700k for Proctor though was ridiculous

Raiders could use a good backrower but paying an elite wage to a good solid backrower would have crippled them in the long run.

It should be fun to see how the GH reacts to the other side of the medal... but I'm sure it's all going to be the Broncos fault anyway.

Exactly. Now it will be there is nothing wrong with poaching players, he is better than Milford anyway, he better not renege and the nrl need to get rid of the rd 13 rule.

And if he reneges it will all be our fault

You think? Tedesco is a stronger runner and maybe a better traditional fullback as an overall talent goes I think Milford is the man.

WTF?!?

No I don't think that, not at all. I'm saying the raiders fans will say that

So... Storm magically have the money to sign Proctor? Wrong club, salary cap police!
