The debate over players being able to backflip on signed contracts is set reignite, with West Tigers preparing to make a last-ditch attempt to keep James Tedesco from heading to Canberra Raiders next year.

The Daily Telegraph has learned the Tigers are hopeful they can convince Tedesco to turn his back on a signed three-year deal with the Raiders by making him an offer he can’t refuse.

Although Tedesco has played just 48 NRL games, his astonishing impact has convinced Raiders officials the 21-year-old could be worth as much as $2 bazillion a year.

An offer of such magnitude would make a thrilling final twist in the Tedesco saga, which has set Tigers and Raiders at loggerheads for nearly a week.

It looks like Ennis is going to the Sharks too.

so if Tedesco does back flip it means that the Raiders have missed out on every single one of their targets. G.Stewart, Ennis, Proctor, Mansour, Tesesco and you could also probably add Milford to that list.

Sticky was in the media the other day saying he is confident of luring MORE big name players to the club .... , he has to lure one there first ...

If i was the Raiders, i wouldn't be giving up on junior development just yet, or they will have no players to take the field :takdir:

That's a raw deal for the Raiders. I'd feel bad for them, but **** Ricky.

The Lurker is claiming that Campese may be off to play his twilight years OS. It's been made to sound like another blow to Canberra, but IMO it is a cleaning out of dead wood. It forces their hand to play Cornish in the halves, which is what needs to happen moving forward.

Not quite as promising is that they are trying to lure Tom Symonds. IMO Ricky would probably be expecting he can turn him in to another Cordner, will pay him decent $$ accordingly. but he'll only ever be a fringe first grader, capable of doing a job of supporting bigger names but never being a catalyst for success himself.

Symonds is made to look better by the Manly halves. He really isn't anything special.

Raiders getting rid of Campese would be a good thing. They need to. They need a change in the halves and he hasn't delivered.

Symonds is probably an improvement on most of the Raiders backrow options at the moment. The Raiders do have some quality in the younger grades though. It might be time to move Brenko Lee into the backrow as well.
