I dunno what's been happening with Srama lately, but I thought he was a massive talent and potentially an Origin player in his first couple of years. Considering I rate McCullough about as highly as I rate Thaiday, and then that I rate Waddell as highly as I rate watching the grass grow, I'd welcome him too.

Pretty harsh on grass man. At least at the end, it becomes something you can play footy on. What the **** are you supposed to do with a Waddell?

Srama just signed an upgraded contract not that long ago too i believe.

Shame, he's a good player .... somebody we could use for sure, but i think Wayne has already decided on his hooking options for next year already.

So in 1 year the Titans have lost Kelly, Idris, Srama and Bailey to retirement. Bailey is an exception as retirement is usually by your own choice but they could still have easily held Kelly, Srama and Idris. Hopeless retention of players as these guys are genuine talents you can build on. Srama still would've been good for depth and a replacement if he wasn't starting and Kelly and Idris bring X-factor which they lack.

Titans had no choice but to let Idris go. His mother was the reason why he left.

They made a bad call letting Srama and Kelly go, though. Things were looking good for the Titans in the halves and hooker department, now they are back to square one.

To be fair to the Titans, they haven't let him go- they've said you're down the list and you're welcome to look at other options. Plenty of players have been given the same message and then played 20 NRL games the next year regardless.

Yeah, after speaking to the Titan's cleaner (yes, I'm claiming him as a valid sauce) Idris' release was unavoidable. As for Kelly, he was dynamite when fit, but the club were worried that his next injury would be a career-ender, he's just one of those players who keeps breaking down. They couldn't risk another 2014 where it looked promising until Kelly went down and all the plans went out the door. Srama though is baffling. I haven't got any goss yet but maybe it's the same situation as Kelly where they don't want to risk injury-prone players.
