Burgess aside, the rest of the Roosters signings are really just Wyong signings.
I agree that the Roosters shouldn't be able to sign a SBW or Hayne, but really don't have an issue with their 2013 roster. They paid the price in 2012, endured a nothing season, then turned it around and formed the best roster in the competition.
I can't see the Chooks signing either SBW or Hayne for 2016. With that said, if they signed SBW for 2017, I wouldn't bat an eye-lid provided they lose a marquee player or two along with a few squad players.
Must admit, my first impression is always negative when it comes to signing players. For instance, I assume Burgess is on at least $300K when it's most likely less. I blame teams like Parra inflating my perception. When players like Hopoate are worth $800K, I begin to assume the worst.
