NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2015

Sticky struck gold with Soliola and Hodgson. Whether that was good luck or good management, he'll be grabbing players predomonantly from offshore for the next 5 seasons now. Assuming he is still employed in 5 years.

The Parramatta Eels have today announced the signings of Mitch Cornish, Kelepi Tanginoa and Scott Schulte for the 2016 season.

A halfback and five-eighth, 22 year-old Cornish will join the side from the Canberra Raiders, where he made his NRL debut in 2014 and was named in the 2015 NSW Cup Team of the Year.

21 year-old Tanginoa will return to the forward pack of the Eels from one season at the North Queensland Cowboys, after making his first grade debut in Blue and Gold in 2013.

He will be joined by 20 year-old versatile outside back Schulte, who was part of the Cowboys’ Holden Cup squad this season.

For a team that is struggling to find salary cap room for Hopoate, they sure are making some signings.

None of them would be particularly expensive. So they'll either go in the second tier, or they'll replace other top 25ers. If those that get squeezed out of the 25, if they're on more money than the new signing, it'll actually save them cap space.

Poor bugger. 24 years old. No cartilage left in one of his knees.

That's brutal for a 24 year old, that sucks.

Minister Dutton has announced that his visa may be rescinded on criminal grounds, at which point he will be returned to New Zealand...

Taupau to Manly on a 4 year deal. Accidentally leaked by someone sending an email to the wrong address.

Amazing that Manly are signing current internationals when they just paid out the ass for DCE and had to shed Foran due to cap pressure. I still don't think they'll be a force next year with Trent Barrett as coach and no known 5/8, but they're emitting a rorters vibe with all their rumoured signings.
