Wrong person sorryWhat did SoS do?
"Jake Turpin is off-contract in 2023 and has failed to cement his place at the Broncos and Tri-colours, but he is a promising dummyhalf with toughness and creativity. Turpin is looking for an opportunity to grow into a regular first grade starter"
I mean, these guys clearly don't watch league.
Luai split with his manager, NRL rules 3 months before changing management, so he'll be going to open market Nov 1.
Guess which team is reportedly being linked to a big money offer for Best...
He's been linked with a $1 million a season move to the Bulldogs ... sorry chicken sandwich.
The Dogs are absolutely desperate for forwards and Knight has struggled since 2021. It seems like a no-brainer and it'll be interesting to see who the Rabbits pick up or promote before August 4th.Liam Knight to the Dogs immediately. Weird that Souths have let him go but that is a very good pick up for the Dogs, they need serviceable forwards.
How many more spots do the dogs have in their top 30... seems like they've picked up a ton of mid season transfers this year. The Dogs are absolutely desperate for forwards and Knight has struggled since 2021. Kautoga must be a development deal. How many more spots do the dogs have in their top 30... seems like they've picked up a ton of mid season transfers this year.
WTF is this dribble??! Who writes this shit?BRONCOS
Spots left in the Top 30: 3
What they need: With Thomas Flegler and Jordan Riki not expected to return from injury until Round 22 and 24 respectively, it wouldn’t hurt to add a couple of extra options to the forwards stocks. Hooker is still an area that could be strengthened too — if the right player becomes available.
Who they should target: If the Dragons do give into Ben Hunt’s release request, no doubt the Broncos will jump at the opportunity to sign the veteran playmaker before the business end of the season, but that seems unlikely. Although Hunt has carved out a long and successful career at halfback, he’s played hooker for Queensland and Australia. Put Hunt in the No.9 jersey and the Broncos instantly become premiership favourites. Manly’s Karl Lawton would be a handy pick-up given he can do a job at hooker and in the second row, but he’s contracted until the end of 2024 and it’s hard to see the Sea Eagles letting him go. As for bolstering the forwards, it would make sense to try and get Fletcher Baker from the Roosters early given he‘s due to arrive to Red Hill in November on a two-year deal. He’s filled in for seven NRL games for the Chooks this season but he might not be needed for much longer if they don’t click into gear and start pushing for finals. Peter Hola has been one of the Raiders’ best in New South Wales Cup but can’t get a crack in the NRL side. He has a mutual option for next season — perhaps that’s an opportunity for the Broncos pounce now. The club could potentially bring back Ethan Bullemor from Manly. Jayden Nikorima can cover hooker/half but hasn’t played any NRL this year. Knights second-rower Brodie Jones, Dragons counterpart Billy Burns and versatile Souths prop Liam Knight are other options to strengthen the Broncos’ depth in the forwards.
