NRL Players and family members in hot water

Paul Carter stood down from the Titans for blowing .193.

Idiot of the highest fucking order.

Idiot of the highest fucking order.

Driving the wrong way down a one way street.

I guess he thought if I'm going to **** up, I should do it properly.

.193? Fucking hell.

Utter scum.

I cracked .2 a at bucks party once. By 10am. Not long after I didn't know which way was up let alone how to open a car door. No wonder he was pulled over.

That's about a quadruple whammy from carter .. the titans have an in-house rule that players basically aren't allowed east of Gold Coast Hwy after dark

Maybe suffering from depression, alcohol is sometimes the drug of choice. Hopefully they look at counselling because it's no use thinking of that if he later takes his own life. Sometimes you have to know all the facts before you can positively condemn. Not saying anyone doesn't wish him a better outcome.

Alcohol is like the worst thing for depression, lol.

Go with the better (and healthier) choice, go with weed.

Was just trying to see all sides. It's happened before that someone's done something incredibly stupid but a greater problem lay underneath. Of course he could be just a total fuckwit !

Yeah, because then you run the chance of developing schizophrenia, and then the depression will seem like nothing

Depression is not an excuse for people acting out. Really sick of this bullshit. Oh he did something wrong but it is ok he has depression.

It isn't but I think Huge is concerned about how the Gold Coast Titans treat this player.

Yeah it's a tough one. Depression is a real issue but like anything you don't know if people lean on it as an excuse. I think what they're saying is that if he really does have a problem, he deserves every criticism but tearing up his contract may not be the best answer for him or the Titans. Some players you go hard with, some you offer guidance but let them know it's their last chance.

I don't think that will be an issue. he will be fined and made to make ylup for his mistake but won't be sacked.

or

he could be just a normal young guy who made a mistake.

I've heard of that happening from time to time......:noidea:

Must be nice living on top of that mountain where you sit so close to the all knowing eye.

Shit happens......people make mistakes

Young people with lots of money and free time make more than most.

That's a load of bullshit and a massive cop out.

I know young people do a lot of idiot shit, I know I have!
But you still know when you're really crossing the line and despite having a car from the moment I got my license as a teenager, I never got behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or my long term girlfriend at the time (Mary Joana).

What would you say if he put someone in the hospital or worse?
What would you say if that someone was your family?

I see no difference between this and going out to the streets swinging a machete... expecting people to dodge you.
