NRL Players and family members in hot water

SteveHartFOX: Contrary to rumours Police say it's NOT Todd Carney who they are interviewing in relation to an altercation tonight in Cronulla.

Mitchell Pearce arrested over altercation outside a Kings Cross nightclub

Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce has been arrested after an early morning altercation with police outside a Kings Cross nightclub
Police attended the club on Roslyn Street at Potts Point at 1:30am after receiving complaints about a patron.
They spoke with Pearce who was asked to leave the premises.

Police allege the halfback became argumentative with officers outside the club and refused to leave the area.
He was then arrested and taken to Kings Cross police station where he was given an infringement notice for failing to leave a licensed premises.
Pearce has also been banned from Kings Cross for 48 hours.
Pearce is considered a certainty for NSW at halfback. He was a leading player in the Roosters premiership success last season and starred for the side in their 30-6 win against the Wests Tigers on Friday night

Well the one bright side that Laurie can take from this is at least he wasn't shot at.

I reckon Laurie would have been better off if he was. They're not winning a thing with that pretender at half.

Hope this forces him out of origin at least.

NSW halfback Mitchell Pearce’s immediate playing future is in question after serious allegations surfaced following his arrest outside a Kings Cross nightclub on Sunday morning.

It is understood that a female patron is alleged to have made a complaint against Pearce regarding an incident on the dance floor of popular night spot Beach Haus.

Police are investigating what they described as an ‘‘interaction’’ between Pearce and another person near the nightclub dance floor at about 1.30am on Sunday.

Channel Nine reported a ‘‘visibly distressed’’ young woman had approached police and pointed out Pearce. He was escorted from the club by security and later arrested by police when he allegedly became argumentative and refused to leave the area.

Mitchell Pearce's Origin future in doubt following arrest

It seems this is worse than originally reported.

I don't, as him being out gives NSW a chance of winning.

Or let them drop him & QLD can truly test themselves.

Nah, if Pearce can't play you just know Daley would be picking a combo of Reynolds/Reynolds or something like that. Or even better given his love of club combos Hodgkinson/Reynolds.

The woman involved in the Pearce story won't press charges, so the investigation in closed.

*cough* The brown paper bag is under the tree. *cough*

Bahaha

If only I was surprised

She's obviously a Queenslander then. Thank you anonymous woman!

Haha yeah.

Police: do you want to press charges?

Anonymous woman: what will happen if I do?

Police: well he will be rubbed out of origin for starters.

Anonymous woman: oh **** no.

How about NRL administrators in hot water? Greenburg (who most on here would know how I feel about the slimey character), who claimed to have no prior knowledge of Tandy's gambling, has just been contradicted by a sign affidavit. Not only was he told about Tandy's money problems, but that he was in trouble from betting-related activity and had been specifically betting on the NRL.
