A YOUNG woman who accused Aussie NRL superstar Jarryd Hayne of rape, claims to be in possession of bombshell evidence which she says could be used for testing.
The woman, known only as “Ms V”, says she took Jarryd Hayne’s “undergarment” as proof of the alleged assault for police to test in the future.
Explosive court documents viewed by news.com.au allege that in December, 2015, the woman woke up in bloodied sheets and “was in shock and wanted to leave”.
“She quickly decided that if she reported to the police she would need some kind of proof and took [Hayne’s] undergarment in case there was need for testing,” the court documents allege.
Hayne has unequivocally and vehemently denied the claims.
His Sydney-based lawyer Ramy Qutami of Madison Marcus Law Firm has put out a statement this afternoon stating: “Mr Hayne and his management are aware of recent media speculation in relation to a civil complaint filed in the United States of America making certain allegations in relation to an event which allegedly occurred in 2015 while playing for the San Francisco 49ers.”
“Mr Hayne has not been served with any proceedings or formal complaint relating to the incident.
“Mr Hayne previously addressed a complaint made to the District Attorney’s office in the County of Santa Clara, California in 2016 and the District Attorney did not proceed any further with the matter due to insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegations. Mr Hayne provided all reasonable assistance to the District Attorney with that investigation.
“Mr Hayne unequivocally and vehemently denies the allegations which are the subject of the civil complaint.
“Mr Hayne will not be making any further comment in relation to this matter.”
It’s understood Hayne was on a flight to Israel today as the news broke.
The NRL is not moving to stand Hayne down following the accusations he raped a woman during his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers.
An NRL spokesman has told
NRL.com the league is unlikely to ban Hayne, but will review the accusations against the Parramatta star as part of its own investigation.
“We note that the police in the United States did not proceed with any criminal proceedings but we will review the information available and continue to monitor the civil case,” the spokesman said.
Parramatta chairman Max Donnelly released a statement on Wednesday afternoon declaring the club was unaware of the accusations against Hayne before reports surfaced on Wednesday morning.
The Eels signed Hayne only last month after he walked out on the Gold Coast Titans with one season still to run on his contract.
“The club has been made aware of serious allegations regarding Jarryd Hayne during his time with the San Francisco 49ers,” Donnelly said.

“We were unaware of these allegations until they were made public today.
“As with any legal matter, it is important that we follow due process and ensure that we review all relevant information available, including giving Jarryd the opportunity to respond.
“The club will continue to monitor the situation and when appropriate we will provide an update to members and media.”
Hayne has been accused of nonconsensual sexual intercourse on December 21, 2015, in a civil suit filed in California’s Santa Clara County on Wednesday (AEST).
It comes as reports from American media indicate Hayne’s legal representatives will be summoned for a case management conference with a judge and his accuser’s legal team on April 10.
According to court documents, the woman was “heavily intoxicated” after proceeding from the 49ers game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Levi’s Stadium to a San Jose bar with a group of friends. Hayne met up with the group before taking the woman back to his San Jose home in an Uber.
“Mr Hayne brought our client back to his home, approached her in the dark, turned her around as to not face him and told her ‘no kissing’,” lawyer John Clune said in a statement provided to news.com.au.
“He then had nonconsensual sexual intercourse with her, causing her significant physical pain.”
According to court documents, the victim was a virgin and suffered continued vaginal pain as a result of the incident. She was reluctant to come forward but made the claims to police in May 2016.
The San Jose Police Department investigated the matter and asked the woman to attempt to get Hayne to incriminate himself, the court documents state. But the District Attorney decided there was not enough evidence to proceed with a criminal case.

THE COURT DOCUMENTS
The civil suit alleges Hayne took the heavily intoxicated young woman home from a bar in an Uber and she was then sexually assaulted after being told “no kissing”.
The suit contains four complaints against Hayne including sexual battery, gender violence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Court documents obtained by news.com.au allege a friend of Hayne’s had been texting and messaging the woman via social media to find out where they were drinking before he turned up to join her and others.
It was in the early hours of the Monday morning that the alleged sexual assault took place at Hayne’s San Jose apartment, the documents say
The young woman claims she passed out in the Uber due to her “extreme level of intoxication”.
She then had “no recollection of how she got into [Hayne’s] home other than faint recollections of an elevator and moving down a hallway”, the court documents allege.
Her next memory, according to the documents “was being in a bedroom and seeing a silhouette of a man with [Hayne’s] build coming towards her.
“The man put his hands on her shoulders and flipped her around so she was no longer facing him.
“The man instructed ‘no kissing’ and shortly thereafter she felt extremely sharp pain in her vagina.
“When the man spoke she recognised his voice as that of [Hayne].
“Her last memories were falling face down on the bed, seeing a light from the hallway, and the continued sharp vaginal pain.
“The next morning [the woman] awoke in the same room and in the same bed. She was naked, draped in a single sheet, and still in significant vaginal pain.”
The young woman was afterwards “in shock and ... fearful of calling the police”.
She “had heard of many cases, especially involving high profile athletes, where victims were discredited and even blamed for reporting sexual assault”.
The woman had experienced “depression and anxiety” prior to the alleged incident.
Two days after the rape [the woman] contacted an acquaintance who was friends with [Hayne],” the documents allege.
The friend allegedly spoke with Hayne who “indicated that nothing had happened between” himself and the woman.
The documents say the woman contacted Hayne via Instagram and “asked him to tell her what had happened and why he would do that to her”.
“This time,” the documents allege, “[Hayne] admitted to the sexual contact by stating that they had ‘hooked up’.”
The court papers say the woman still experiences pain and in April last year went to a hospital emergency department for an examination.
The documents say that the San Jose police “investigated the matter conducting witness interviews”, but the District Attorney informed the woman “there was not enough evidence to prove the crime of rape beyond reasonable doubt”.

HAYNE’S TIME IN THE NFL
Hayne rocked the NRL in October 2014, by announcing he was leaving the competition after nine seasons with the Parramatta Eels to pursue an NFL career.
He signed with the 49ers in March 2015, and became the biggest story in Australian sport after breakout performances in the preseason later that year.
After playing the first six games of the NFL season as a punt returned and running back, Hayne was waived by the 49ers and spent the bulk of December 2015, as a member of the team’s practice squad.
He was promoted back to the 53-man roster on December 26 and played the final two games of the season.
Hayne announced his retirement from the NFL in May, 2016, as he sought to join the Fiji Rugby Sevens team for the Rio Olympics.
There is no suggestion Hayne quit the NFL because of the police investigation at the time.
After his Rugby Sevens attempt was unsuccessful he returned to Australia, spending last season with the Gold Coast Titans. He endured a tumultuous stay on the Glitter Strip, clashing with coach Neil Henry, who was later sacked, before rejoining Parramatta for the 2018 season.
Hayne also starred at the Rugby League World Cup last month, leading Fiji to the semi-finals.
Hayne became a father in late 2016 after having a daughter, Bel, with then-partner Amellia Bonnici. Bonnici resides on the NSW mid-north coastal town of Forster with Bel and her family.
