NRL Players and family members in hot water

Oh, and he must undertake an anger management course. Looks like the only thing I didn't forecast correctly was the public apology however that may come later ,on one of the footy shows or perhaps in an interview for the news. I thought the fine would be around $50,000 but near enough. Maybe there is something to being an old guy and waiting a while for emotion to subside before passing comment or judgement.

To me, it kinda just sounds like you were wrong too?

Can I have my links to the posts now, please?

Argue with the mother in law about the wife...hardly. You're never wrong anyway, you just don't have it in you...but I hold out hope that just like Coxy you'll mature and handle being wrong on occasion . Doesn't mean I don't respect you.

So anyway, what a totally crap (yet expected) punishment dished out.

No wonder we're a laughing stock of a sport sometimes.

The mother in law deserves an apology or retraction if you can't justify your stance on her daughter.

Yeah right..an apology to a guy who owes more than he is owed. This place is the correct place to make wild and baseless claims without evidence, I mean it's at the very heart of BHQ . Not that I think anything I've written is baseless just that I don't have to justify my view to anyone, no one else is expected to so why should I be different. As they say, it's just my opinion man...

My understanding is that this is the punishment handed down by the Sharks? The NRL could do more if they wanted to perhaps?(not that they will)

I have no idea what you're talking about. I just want to see what evidence was out when you say people were making accusations.

So you're not going to apologise?

I find it concerning that a self-proclaimed wise old man has such little respect for the man whose house he currently walks in.

I'm not that disappointed with the length of the suspension. In terms of NRL suspensions, it is a heafty suspension.

I'm also ok with the backdating, as long it is only backdated the first week he was stood down (unlike with the peptides suspensions)

The fact he must go to anger management is also smart as well as being a benefit to Fifita himself.

However, for someone on Fifitas money the 30k fine is nothing. What i would have liked to have seen instead (or even as well as) is some form of community service. Whether it is the gorm of coaching clinics, or maybe going around to schools explaining why whathe did was wrong and how you shouldn't act that way to officials (now matter what sport or how incompetent they appear)

25hours of community service was also part of the punishment i believe.

100% in agreement with this.

The NRL is so unimaginative. I seriously would have forgot the fine and made him personally referee two seasons of junior football.
