He is fit. Duffy just flat out beat him out.
I'll be happy to not see Clifford and his towering bombs in round 3... Cows have sharks at home next week... hopefully they'll get the win and Toddles won't be changing his halves any time soon

Not sure I'm ready to add Manly to top 4 just yet.

They had a perfect storm tonight... round 1, at home, team that doesn't like travelling to Sydney, team that has poor defence, them being a high octane attacking team.

They scored pretty much all their points in a 20min period 3 tries each in two 10min periods... they showed that they'll be a threat from anywhere and you'll need to turn up against them, but they also scored 6 tries in that 20mins and probably should've been on track for 60

They also have paper thin depth. We all know how much they rely on Turbo and his injury history (can almost guarantee he'll miss games, if you're a Manly fan you just have to pray that he's fit in Sept), but if they lose DCE (pretty healthy throughout his career so far but 36 years old) or Paseka they're also cooked.

I’m glad there was such a good refereeing standard in that game.

Definitely didn’t give anyone reason to blame the ref for their loss

I'm literally basing it on round one performances. They will no doubt inevitably slide you'd think and the Sharks will come up. But I do think Manly is probably the best of the rest after what will probably inevitably turn out to be the top four in Penrith, Brissy, Melbourne and Cronulla. For them, it all depends on how long TTurbo stays on the field for and history suggests it isn't long.

Yeah ship might have sailed. Duffy hasee been very good in preseason though. Can't judge him on much tonight.
Agree. they had no ball and he had no platform to work with...Dearden 2020/2021. Everything i have seen and heard Duffy is quality. he kept trying in this game with little kicks passes etc. Just wasnt hs day. he wasnt the worst out there

they said the same thing about Seibold, look what happened there. and he didn't coach a team to within a few minutes of defeating the greatest team of the modern era in a grand final.
That wasn't mentioned, though. For some reason, the media continues to sing nothing but praises for him. You never see that kind of support for Kevin. All the media seems to say is what a "top bloke" he is.

I honestly hope you’re right. I love Kevin and still think he was treated unfairly in this situation. I'd love to see him succeed with another team (just not the Cowboys, because I can’t stand them).

I just don’t believe any NRL board will take a chance on him anytime soon, except maybe the Tigers. Honestly, Kevin has more coaching ability in his little toe than Marshall does, and it’s painful to watch.

The giant obstacle for Kevvie is always going to be who sacked him- it was his childhood sweetheart that loved him and he loved them.

That will make other clubs sit back and think well if the Broncos don't want Kev.......
