CROSS FORUM NRL Round 24 Discussion

Penalty for not actually obstructing anyone... seems about right for NRL officiating

And with that sin binning the ref has probably ended this one as a contest... all for the fans I'm sure

Have they just ignored an actual obstruction now????????

What the **** is going on in the game at the moment... I am genuinely confused at the officiating nowadays

Cynical time wasting by giving away deliberate penalties is a blight of the game. Storm, Penrith and the Roosters have perfected the art. But sure, bin a player from one of the dunce teams for it. That will show them

It just proves everyone’s point that teams are treated differently

And another shepherd from sharks ignored... two tackles later they are rewarded with a six again

Try assist to Sutton there... wasn't sure if they'd get there, but 20 tackles in a row inside the 20m and eventually they crack

One of the sharks chasers was offside. Surely that reverses the penalty!

Lol Sutton having to blow a penalty for the exact same thing

Can't believe knights put their season on the boot of Crossland... how many times does that bloke have to fail for them to realise he ain't it

Must say I’ve actually enjoyed the way most of this weekend’s games have been officiated.. referees putting accidental stuff on report or playing on rather than firing everything into the sin bin

Things that were overlooked in the last minute.
Massive late 3rd man flop by Mcinnes
Play the ball by Rudolph wasn't square and no attempt to even lift a foot at all to play the ball.
Clear high shot by Hetherington reviewed and not acted on.
The NRL is just a a TV product and nothing more ATM.

They really need to get the play the balls tidied up, AGAIN.. given how ridiculously close the game is getting to touch football in terms of speed, getting players to actually play the thing properly with their foot might give defences a chance

Crossland actively lost the knights the game. Made several errors, provided zero in attack (the knights were better with him off), got sin binned, and took a missed FG shot that he placed himself between Ponga and the 9 to take.

The game has a natural rhythm to it with the original rules. The interpretations have altered the way league is played. All for TV.
Valandys is currently fucking it up IMO.
Financially the game is doing OK and that's what matters.
