Rolf cmon you can do better than that FFS. [icon_shru

eusa_think I was just being honest, Raiders fans aren't entertaining.

At least not like some Broncos fans around here. [icon_wink

I get the raiders fan bit but the inflated ego I don't get. He has come across a decent guy in any interviews I have seen. [icon_shru

Questioning selectors when he gets dropped and going off his but at opposition players.

Does he realise at best he's a solid player?

Sad thing is he was one of our best in the Ashes and was told by selectors he is the number 1 keeper batsmen in the country before being dropped for the most over-rated player in the country, [icon_shru

In a totally different format of cricket, should have just held his tongue, it's a young man's or no hopers game.

Also pretty sure Clarke retired from T20's. [icon_razz1

whilst I agree, the selectors have obviously confused the man you can tell he has been hopeless in this series so far.

FFS Clarke. Again, in the air close in.

What can you say any more? He's as fucked as you can get at the moment.

3 down for 60 - they'd wanna be careful here. Only the RR is giving us a bit of breathing space. These are always awkward scores at the SGC.

Gilchrist was a mediocre keeper much like Haddin however, he did win Australia an absolute tonne of matches in both test and ODI with his ability to take the game away from an opponent. This is something Haddin has never really done for us and something I doubt he ever will do, he doesn't have the technique to be as consistent whilst being aggressive like Gilchrist. You don't average 49 in your test career being simply a slogger.

As if Gilchrist was as bad as Haddin as a keeper though. When in his career did Gilly miss 3 stumpings in a match?

You're kidding. Gilly's keeping was extremely underrated. I don't think anyone - myself included - ever realized how good he was until we had Haddin come in.

There would even be a strong argument that Gilly was the best gloveman in the world at points in his playing career.

During his career yes, there's been a divergence from having specialist keepers to having people who can bat well and keep a bit.

Gilly's keeping improved greatly as his career went on, something that can't be said about Haddin.

Haddin stands too far back to the pace bowlers which is why we see a lot of edges fall short. He's bending his back way too much when they carry through. He sets the mark for his slips and he is too far back.

He is woeful with spinners, as evidenced by 3 missed stumpings a couple of games back.

He also relies on his first slip too much. Keepers should be taking any catches that come anywhere near them like Gilly and Healy did when they used to dive in front of the slips to take catches

He. Is. Shit

And did anyone else LOL when he decided to stand up to the stumps for Hastings? ZOMG, you can't cleanly take balls from Hauritz, Doherty and Smith, how are you going to take 135kph deliveries that go past the edge?

David Boon was a better keeper [icon_lol1.

Ian Healy is my favourite comentator at the moment. Loving hear him rip into Haddin. icon_thumbs_u with Tubby taylor all *but but but....haddin is zomg orsm from nsw*

Yep, agreed. And during the Tests, hearing Healy tell Watto to get on with it instead of just blocking around, which isn't his natural game.

Some people bag him, but I like that Healy says what he thinks and isn't afraid to criticise players who are clearly fucking up.
