[OFFICIAL] Barba to Broncos

If the marquee player allowance is introduced in the off-season, is Barba our marquee player? I'd say that's what he's waiting for.

Rumours that the dogs are close to signing the Dragons upcoming fullback evander cummins, looks like they maybe preparing for life without Barba.

It already exists - any changes to the salary cap won't happen until 2015.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. Smith has already said he wants to reinvent the salary cap and if the clubs and Players Association exert enough pressure on him, it'll be rushed through in time for this years pre-season.

Clubs were told not to expect any changes until 2015 at earliest, review won't be concluded until December and then arlc have to take recommendations and consult with the Club Council on a model. They're not just looking to strengthen marquee provisions, the whole cap is going to be looked at, its a long process.

Not much to hang on to, but the latest rumour is that the Dogs may be looking at Coote to replace Barba. The Mole's answer to that question:

Penrith getting rid of all of their talented players. Nothing strange about that since Gould took over.

Lol, losing Coote is getting rid of all their talented players?

Moylan, Segeyaro, Whare, Brown, Docker, Manu, Roberts, Taylor, Grant and Kite say hello

I think he was referring to Luke Lewis, Michael Jennings, etc.

Jennings the guy that used to turn up to training drunk and wouldnt get involved in games and an underperforming Lewis. Add in Michael Gordon that was often injured. These 3 guys that while big names, didnt really help Penrith get off the bottom few spots of the table.

Hate him, thats fine but most Penrith fans are happy with where the club is now with Gould than they were in the Mick Leary years.

Wow!

Hard to see Hayne leaving but stranger things have happened.

The Dogs have no shame

You can't really blame the dogs for sounding out players. They're most likely going to lose one of the most exciting players ion the game through no fault of their own, so they'd be stupid not to sound out their options.

They're running a business, you'd be stupid not to try and recruit the best employees!
